Clash of Clans is known for providing interesting challenges to its players for maintaining their interest in facing new challenges. This Valentine, things aren’t going to get lovey-dovey for the Clashers as Supercell’s strategy game has come up with something to crack down on. Clash of Clans has come with a Valentine’s Day Challenge for the players this Valentine’s season. Do not worry, as we have come up with strategies to crack down on this challenge with ease.
Introducing the Valentine’s Day Challenge in Clash of Clans
A heart-shaped base looks so cute but don’t be fooled by love. The base is designed following Valentine’s theme and inside resides a Town Hall 15 with its defence waiting for the troops. The army provided isn’t a big one to break this down, but the maxed-out heroes provide a massive advantage.
The rewards aren’t very attractive, but there isn’t any loss there. Along with the extra resources that are provided, players can gain 400 XP, 20 Gems, and a Hero Potion.
How to beat the Valentine’s Day Challenge in Clash of Clans
Before you start your attack, do not forget to switch your Grand Warden from Air to Ground. When you scan the base, you notice that the maxed-out Town Hall 15, as dangerous as it seems, is situated at the top corner of the base, to the right side of the heart-shaped walls. This makes it a bit vulnerable. But if you are planning to start your attack from that corner of the base dropping the golems, do not.
This maxed-out town hall deals significant damage and takes down most of your troops. Since we do not have a large army, getting the best out of them is really important. This is where the Super Archers come into the picture. Their range adds significant benefits in taking down the Town Hall without coming into its range.
Two Elixir Storages parallel to the Town Hall on the left and right are closer to the Town Hall. Deploy two Super Archers in the exact centre of each storage. With this, the Town Hall will come under the range, and they will take it down under minute. If you fail to do so, afford to use an extra archer in the middle to take down the Elixir Storage with the Town Hall.
Follow the same with the other defences, especially the Scattershots as their splash-damage deals a lot of damage. Again, place it at a distance just enough to not fall under the range of the defence, so in the area just close to the edge of the map. Follow the same idea for taking down the Monoliths, as they are also heavy damage defences.
You only have one type of spell, the Earthquake. But you have five of em. So, if the archers have taken down the defence and Town Hall, you can opt to break down the walls. However, we suggest using each spell on the defence cluttered areas. One close to the town hall where there is an invisibility spell tower, one each near the Scattershot/Infernos and to take down the Monolith as well.
On the top right corner of the base, there is a Tesla, so you can take that down using the Barbarian King or a Golem with a Super Archer. Now once you are close to clearing the defences, you can deploy the two golems. Behind them deploy the heroes and the rest of the archers.
The Clan Castle troops of the base will be lured out in the range, but do not worry about that as the Archer Queen and her sisters will take care. On entering the base, use your Barbarian King’s ability before he gets connected by the single target Infernos. The spawned barbarians distract, and then you can use your warden ability.
The rest of the heroes’ abilities can be kept intact until they are under attack. If your plan goes awry during the initial stages of the attack, don’t panic. Utilize the abilities then and you can easily clear the challenge.
The challenge is designed in such a way that players fall into the trap that it is easy to destroy the base without much effort, but it is not. So, the best way to beat this is to be strategic and have light hands, as you watch your troops wreak havoc.
