What is Gunsmith in COD Mobile?
COD Mobile was recently teasing about the addition of a new customization feature that will be released in the upcoming update. The official handle on Twitter posted about this saying “Customization is the future”. Apparently the feature was later revealed to be Gunsmith. The concept seems to be a ripoff from Call of Duty’s other title named “Modern Warfare”. It allows the player to customize, view, and build out their weapons incredibly precise, as well as select multiple attachments and optics. Recently the official trailer of this new feature was tweeted on the official twitter handle of Call of Duty Mobile.
How can you setup tour own weapon in COD Mobile Gunsmith?
COD Mobile Gunsmith will allow you to setup Muzzle, Barrel, Stock, Optic, Laser Sight, Grip, Magazine, Rear Grip, and Weapon Skill. But do remember that you can only have 5 attachments for You just have to go to the loadouts section and then click on the Gunsmith button to start customizing your weapon.

Stock
This attachment allows you to run faster while scoped on your sides. If you try to stiff without the Stock, it will be very slow as compared to using the Stock-AR attachment. It helps you to move faster while scoped on your sides. It also makes you a much harder target to hit.

Underbarrel
The Foregrip attachment or the Underbarrel actually makes your gun more stable. This attachment will be helpful for every gun that you play with. It helps you to control your recoil and also makes your aim stable while scoped in. This attachment is so important that if you are not using it, you are already in a disadvantage as compared to the player who is using it. So, this attachment is highly recommended to be used in your loadouts.

Rear Grip
This attachment allows you to scope into your rifle or your SMG faster. It is very useful as it allows you to scope in quickly and shoot your opponents faster than you can without using the Rear Grip. This attachment goes well with the assault rifles and the SMG. If you like running and gunning, it provides you with an edge as you can scope in faster and shoot down your opponents.

Barrel
This is a very beneficial attachment if you are looking to hit the enemy from a longer range. Now, there is only one type of barrel present there in the game until now – Long Barrel. But as the COD Mobike Gunsmith is coming in the next season, you will be getting an ample amount of options to customize your weapons according to your ease.

As we have said earlier in case of other attachments, these are some of the prime varieties of the Barrels which will be available for customizing your weapon in the COD Mobile Gunsmith. Other than these, there are chances of some more types of Barrels like OWC Compact Barrel, RTC Recon Tac Long, YKM Light Barrel, etc. to be available after the update arrives.
How to get the highest level weapon in COD Mobile Gunsmith?
The COD Mobile Gunsmith adds a new weapon XP progression system in the game. Weapons are all delegated to base types now, like the M4, PDW-57, Type 25, ICR-1, or any of others. Each weapon type has a weapon XP system attached to it, meaning now you have to level up that weapon type, not the specific variant (like M4 Backscratcher, RUS 79U Viking). Your weapon variant with the highest level of that type will determine your new overall level for that weapon type.
For example, if your highest AK117 variant was level 8 now your overall AK117 level is 8.
Weapon types can be advanced up to level 50+. Every level you unlock equals a new attachment.
COD Mobile Gunsmith: Multiplayer
The first thing you will likely notice about Multiplayer after this update is that you will now have 10 loadout slots to unlock. Each loadout can now be equipped with a customized weapon or one of the new blueprint weapons.
To accommodate all of these amazing additions, your loadouts will get reset. So be sure to take some time setting your loadouts back up when the update releases.
COD Mobile Gunsmith: Battle Royale
While most of COD Mobile Gunsmith’s new features are widespread and touch all aspects of the game, there are a few specific changes just for Battle Royale which are a part of the Gunsmith feature.
You can now find and acquire weapons of different rarities with pre-installed attachments. Unfortunately, you can no longer find attachments separately as you used to. Instead, there are now Gunmods that can be attached to a unique slot.
Addition to that, a new Battle Royale loadout menu will now be available where 5 loadout slots will now be available
You can acquire your customized Gunsmith weapons from your loadouts through Airdrops.
When will the COD Mobile Gunsmith arrive in the game?
The COD Mobile Gunsmith will be arriving in the season 9 of COD Mobile. The official date of release has been declared by Activision. Season 8 will be ending on 16th August and as Activision is following a monthly model for every season, so it is obvious that season 9will be commencing on the same day.
