Call of Duty Mobile features some exciting game modes and several options to experience the popular first-person shooter franchise on the mobile platform. But, it looks like something more interesting is in the pipeline. A few days ago the Season 8 of COD Mobile has started, and now according to recent leaks, there’s much more waiting for the players in season 9. Here in this article on COD Mobile Season 9 leaks, we have summed up all you can expect in the upcoming season.
But before we move on with the leaks, one thing needs to be kept in mind. These features that we will share in this article might not come just in season 9, they may gradually be added in season 9, 10, and so on.
COD Mobile Season 9 New Maps
A set of four new maps will be added in the Multiplayer mode of Call of Duty Mobile.
The Terminal is a medium-sized multiplayer map that was there in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, based on the campaign mission No Russian.
This map, which is an airport terminal, is full of luggage, bars, and small shops; the outside area of the map, where planes and cargo are stationed, has many tiny areas that are accessible as well. The players can go into a plane, which has realistic seats inside it, with the exception of the cockpit. Rebirth Island is an island that is featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is the location of the mission “Rebirth” in the Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Pine is a multiplayer map featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that was exclusive to the Gunfight mode. It comprises of a woodland training range with working metal targets beyond the perimeter, and a small grassy area from the infill point.
The eastern infill point is a firing range, while the western infill point is a bunker entrance. Each perimeter area leads to a rocky outcrop and a rusting vehicle to navigate or hide behind. A stream bisects the map, running southwest to northeast, with an open red container where the flag appears.
This is expected to be the fourth addition to the new set of maps to be added to the multiplayer section of COD Mobile, next season.
Alcatraz: The new map in Battle Royale
This is expected to be one of the highlights of the next season. A new location is coming in the Battle Royale section of the game, named Alcatraz. Alcatraz was the second and final Blackout map. It is set around the prison on Alcatraz Island that has been previously seen on the Zombies maps Mob of the Dead, and its sequel Blood of the Dead.
New Weapons in COD Mobile Season 9
A plethora of new weapons is expected to be adding to the Battle Royale mode in COD Mobile Season 9. Here are the firearms that you can expect to use in the upcoming season.
Apart from these weapons coming in Battle royale, there’s something adding up in the Multiplayer section as well. A new lethal weapon and an operator skill will be adding up in this mode of gameplay.
Thermite – the new lethal weapon
A perfect substitute for a trip mine. Thermite will have the ability to burn violently over a period of time after it is thrown out by the player. Like trip mine, Thermite will also be able to stick to any surfaces of the wall and ground.
Equalizer – the new Operator Skill
You will now be able to use one more operator skill to knock out your enemies in the Multiplayer matches. Equalizer consists of dual integrated machine guns with built-in suppressors for close-quarter combat. This operator skill can really prove to be useful in the small maps like Cage, Rust, Standoff.
New Scorestreak: Shield Turret
A new scorestreak named Shield Turret is expected to be adding up in the multiplayer mode. Shield Turret is a firearm which was there in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is a deployable .50 cal machine gun capable of doing high damage that must be deployed on flat, horizontal, and unobstructed surfaces before it can be used. The Shield Turret lasts for a limited time or until it runs out of ammunition, and can be destroyed.

New Characters in COD Mobile Season 9
A host of renowned characters from the Call of Duty franchise are expected to make their entry into the mobile version of the game, in season 9. Let’s know more about them.
Sergeant Kamarov was a Russian Loyalist, frequently tasked with helping Captain Price’s squad, his Task Force 141 squad, and the Czech Resistance. Kamarov featured in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. He is also featured in Call of Duty: Heroes, as the traveler.
2. Victor Reznov
Viktor Reznov was a major character featured in Call of Duty: World at War and the Black Ops series. He was a Russian squad leader of the Red Army in Call of Duty: World at War during World War II. His relationship and influence on Dimitri Petrenko and Alex Mason played a major part in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
3. Edward Richtofen
Doctor Edward Richtofen was a German scientist in the Zombies storyline and also a playable character in the Zombies game mode. Richtofen also appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, in the ending cutscene of Shadows of Evil, and as a playable character in The Giant (which also features the Original timeline Richtofen during the opening cutscene), Der Eisendrache, Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi, Revelations, and the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 maps Blood of the Dead.
4. Carver Butcher
Captain Carver Butcher was an officer of the British Special Forces and is the Quartermaster of the Headquarters during the Winter Siege, The Resistance, Operation Shamrock & Awe, Blitzkrieg, Attack of the Undead, Liberty Strike and Days of Summer events in Call of Duty: WWII.
5. Vivian Harris
Agent Vivian Harris was a supporting character in Call of Duty: WWII, being an agent of the S.O.E. and partner of Arthur Crowley. She assisted the 1st Infantry Division in stopping German V-2 Rockets from getting to Paris and later liberated Paris with French resistance leader, Rousseau. In “Nazi Zombies”, Harris was a member of the Bureau of Archaic Technologies and assisted the group in stopping Peter Straub’s zombies.
6. Wicht Warden
Wicht Warden was an unlockable character within Call of Duty: WWII Zombies. It could be unlocked by completing a full challenge set, in this case being the “Cold Blooded” challenge set.
7. Nikolai Belinski
Sergeant Nikolai Belinski was a Russian soldier who fought in the Red Army and was a playable main character in Zombies. An alternate version of Nikolai appeared in Origins and reappeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, in The Giant, Der Eisendrache, Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi (which also includes the original timeline Nikolai Belinski), Revelations and Blood of the Dead.
Lieutenant Vasquez was in charge of Sergeant Paul Jackson’s 1st Force Reconnaissance platoon during the American-Middle Eastern war missions in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. He can easily be recognized by his large stature, deep voice, and plain helmet, featuring several tally signs and the number 28.
New Modes and Ranks in COD Mobile Season 9
According to various leaks, there will be one more rank to be added in the Battle Royale as well as Multiplayer mode in COD Mobile Season 9. This mode has been named Expert and the emblem will look like this:
Apart from this new Rank, there is one more match-type expected to be added to the Multiplayer mode. The name of this mode is Headquarters/ King of the Hill mode.
This is a mode from Modern Warfare similar to Hardpoint where you need to capture a specific place for some time. Here’s a video of this mode to explain the gameplay.
Optimization and other features in Call of Duty Mobile Season 9
Besides all the maps, weapons, characters, and all, some optimization features and other changes are also leaked to be coming in the game in the COD Mobile Season 9
The first one that we will talk about is the Armor plate in Battle Royale mode.
This feature was found in the COD Mobile season 9 game files and is expected to be one of the biggest additions in the Battle Royale mode of the game. This plate is similar to the Armor plates found in Call of Duty Warzone.
Coming to the next feature, two new variants of scope are expected to be available in the settings – 6x scope and 8x Scope. You can adjust the scopes according to your ease.
Apart from this, a host of changes are coming to the battle royale mode. This includes a new class, kill animations, battlefield entry animation,etc. You can check this video for further details.
When will the COD Mobile Season 9 release?
There has been no official date of release declared from Activision. Season 8 has just started and as Activision is following a monthly model for every season, so it’s expected that season 9 may be available next month.
