Welcome to the Dragalia Lost Dragon Tier List – February 2020 edition. The purpose of this list is to give players a general idea of each Dragon’s value, so as to better gauge how they should proceed with an investment towards summoning or unbinding them. Dragons with higher rankings will provide the best bang for your buck, and boost adventurers to their greatest potential.
Placements are explained in the Ranking Criteria section below this list. Moreover, do note that Dragons works as equipment for Adventurers to expand their skill sets and stats. Meaning, while a Dragon may stand at S tier, a specific Adventurer may be a better fit to use an A tiered one. Therefore, we advise basing your Dragon investment around your current contexts such as available Adventurers, or intended boss fights. Order of presentation within the same tier has no underlying meaning, as names are presented alphabetically.

Ranking Criteria
S: Meta Tier
Dragons in this tier compose the central part of the meta within their respective element, some (Leviathan) so useful they see use outside of it. Skill Damage Dragons make DPS skyrocket, they benefit most if not all Adventurers. However, Buffers and Healers will prefer either STR (Strength) augmenting dragons (since they lack damaging skills) or utility Dragons with Skill Haste, Affliction infliction, etc.
A: Sub-meta Tier
Dragons in this tier still possess powerful qualities, but their potential is somewhat restricted to specific scenarios. Firstly, the Affliction reliant Dragons: without Burn, Poison, etc. being present their damage falls off. Secondly, archetype reliant Dragons: Crit Damage boosting Dragons, for example, only surpass S tier dragons when equipped to the few adventurers with high crit rates. In conclusion, acceptable alternatives that will shine in the right context.
B: Competent tier
Dragons in this tier are solid additions when starting out, but will require higher investment elsewhere to allow you access to endgame content. The 4 star 45% STR Dragons will suffice during solo content while you work on having one viable 5-star dragon per element to face endgame content. The others will surely pop up along the way, so unlike Adventurers, we advise not pulling specifically for Dragons, unless they are A or S tier.
C: Lackluster Tier
Dragons in this tier start presenting serious drawbacks with no workarounds. Their benefits are scarce, and with the 4 star Dragons previously mentioned being easy to acquire, the Dragons in C tier have a hard time seeing any use. Mostly collectables, outside of HP dragons for beginner healers. They’ll help early on, but you will drop them fairly quickly.
D: Bottom Dwellers Tier
Dragons in this tier got the short end of the stick. Most of them are event welfare or acquirable without spending wyrmite, and their kits reflect that. Too many better alternatives out there to warrant using these. If anything, collectables.
E: Inventory Filler Tier
Dragons in this tier may prove more useful than those in D, because you’ll be trading this away for useful resources over time.
X: Special Tier
Dragons in this tier have special qualities that can’t be reflected in a regular tier list.
- Firstly, there’s Mini Mids: while he’s a Wind Dragon, his stat-boosting is not limited to any element and matches those of the B Tier. Being a limited freebie though, he has lower base stats and is unobtainable. Therefore, he’d awkwardly stand as a B- or C+, but very useful when just beginning for those who were around when he was gifted.
- Secondly, the Fafnirs: their Abilities are not element-restricted, and their purpose is to boost resource acquisition. Endgame gearing-up can be quite expensive, so these Dragons are valuable in a way a Tier List can’t conventionally convey. Farm Void Battles and trade the rewards to claim the Fafnirs. The sooner you start using them, the better, but only during farming quests!
This concludes the Dragon Tier List – February 2020 edition. This list will see revisions and additions throughout the month as new Dragons, Adventurers and content are released. Some changes to game mechanics may also shake positioning, so be sure to check back from time to time.
