eFootball 2023 Mobile: The complete Carryover Guide

The only guide you shall need!

The version update 2.2.0 of the famous soccer title eFootball 2023 is all set to drop in November. Publishers of eFootball 2023, KONAMI, recently provided information about when and how the upgrade would affect players’ access to their eFootball 2023 Mobile accounts’ rosters of players, managers, and in-game stuff. Recently published specifics about how eFootball 2023 carryover update will arrive and how it will influence those items are available on the official KONAMI website

However, a lot of queries have been raised by users, since KONAMI’s website didn’t make a few things clear to the fans. In this eFootball 2023 Carryover Guide, we are going to discuss the transition in detail from version update 2.1.0 to 2.2.0 and look to satisfy some of the queries that are coming up every now and then from users.

eFootball 2023 Mobile Carryover Guide

The official release date of version update 2.2.0 has not been announced yet. However, going by the previous editions KONAMI usually drops the carryover guide two months before the scheduled update. So we can speculate the update to drop on any one of the Thursdays in the month of November.

The good news is most of the in-game items, Settings, Base Teams, Players, and, Mangers are getting carried over. Below is the list of in-game resources that are all set to be carried over in the upcoming version 2.2.0:

Carryover Items

Non-Carryover Items

  • Specific Game and User Settings like Online Match History, Balance Sheet, and Commentary Data.
  • Premium Objectives running right now(Since the update is likely to drop post expiration of these Objectives).

Profile Photo/Avatar: Now that we are were of all the in-game items that will be carried over let us talk about the fate of a newly added in-game feature i.e. Avatar. Since eFootball 2022 days, one can select the portrait of their favorite Legendary Player as their Avatar or Profile Photo. Post update if the particular Legendary Player Card donning as your Avatar is eligible for carry-over, then your avatar is likely to be carried over. If not then your Profile Photo will be reset to default.

What happens to my existing team in eFootball 2023

Since the fate of all the in-game items has been discussed, let us now talk about what happens to your Base Team and Player Cards post the version update 2.2.0.

Base Team

Now in this section of the discussion, there are two possibilities. Either your Base Team will be available in the game after the version update or it won’t be available.

  1. In v2.2.0, your preferred team is available: Your base team will be carried over after the update and no changes will be made to your set team in this scenario.
  2. In v2.2.0, your preferred team is not available: You will be asked to choose a base team once you log in after the maintenance.

Players

Again we have two scenarios when it comes to your Player Cards:

  • Player cards signed after the version update 2.1.0: All Player Cards signed after the said period will be carried over post the 2.2.0 update.
  • Player cards signed before the version update 2.1.0: This in turn gives birth to two new possibilities. Your player will either be eligible for a carryover or won’t be eligible for the same. Konami is set to compensate for the Players that won’t be eligible for carryover post the update.

Let us try to decode the later scenario by taking each Player Card type available in eFootball 2023 as a reference.

Standard Player Cards

  1. Your Player Card is eligible for a carryover: He will be carried over as it is i.e. as the parent card type only.
  2. Your Player Card is not eligible for a carryover: Your Player Card will be compensated with the following items:
    • GP reward that is equivalent to the amount required to sign that particular Standard Player Card in version update 2.1.0. Say for instance Robert Lewandowski is exchangeable with 1,100,100 GP in version update 2.1.0. If he is not eligible for a carryover, you will receive the equivalent GP amount as compensation.
    • A set number of level training programs to match the player’s experience level.

Managers

Carryover Managers

The manager’s team and the league will be modified to reflect those listed on the “Managers Eligible for Carryover” page in this situation. His coaching affinity and team playstyle proficiency, on the other hand, will remain unaltered.

Non-Carryover Managers

The manager will be changed into GP assets in this scenario. The quantity of GP required to sign the manager is based on the value shown in the “Manager List” prior to version 2.1.0. Konami is likely to release the list of Base Teams, Players, and Managers who won’t be eligible for a carryover by the mid of October.

eFootball 2023 Mobile Carryover Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Claim your inbox items before the update

One must make sure to claim all their unclaimed items from the game’s inbox before the version update 2.2.0. Even though Konami has said that all unclaimed items from your inbox will be carried over, there is no confirmation on the same. Hence, we suggest you claim them to be on the safe side and not take the risk of losing out on those rewards.

2. Do not release your unwanted/duplicate player cards

As we said before, Konami is likely to announce the names of Player Cards who are not eligible for a carryover, latest by October end. Do not release any of your Players till then, even if you do not require that Player. Say that particular player which you want to release turns out to be a non-carryover asset.

In that scenario, you will be losing out on the Compensation rewards if you release them. If it is a Legendary Player Card do not even think of releasing him now as he can earn you a Legendary Chance Deal if he falls under the non-carryover category.

3. Do not release any Managers right now

The same theory is applicable here. Do not release anyone to ensure that you do not miss out on the Compensation rewards.

4. Keep a tab on the expiry date of your Nominating Contracts and eFootball Points

Even though both these assets will be carried over in version update 2.2.0, there is a chance that they might expire during the large-scale maintenance planned before the update. This is because these assets have their specific expiration time.

Hence, keep a close watch on their expiry date and use them to redeem in-game items before version update 2.2.0 if you see that they are nearing expiration time.

Common FAQs on eFootball 2023 carryover

Q: When will the “Player Cards Eligible for Carryover” and “Managers Eligible for Carryover” be announced?

A: The pages for “Player Cards Eligible for Carryover” and “Managers Eligible for Carryover” will be available when they are ready. In mid-October 2022, everything will be disclosed on the official website.
One must be aware that, as of the announcement date, any player or manager who is not a part of v2.2.0 (those who are not listed on the aforementioned pages) will no longer be able to sign in-game.

Q: Are the in-game controls going to change at all?

A: Any changes to in-game controls will be announced as game news as well as on the official website. We have to wait for a confirmation on this from the Developer House.

Q: Will the remaining contract term for players be carried over?

A: Yes, it will be carried over.

Q: Will players’ suspensions be carried over?

Well here’s some good news. The v2.2.0 upgrade will reset suspensions, allowing you to play matches with these people right away. Once suspensions are lifted after the update, make sure to conduct yourself well so that you do not face another ban/suspension.
