FC Mobile 24 Lunar New Year Event Flow
Lunar New Year is the latest event and as the thing with events this season, it’s a mini-event running simultaneously with the major event ie TOTY for the next two weeks. So here in the main tab, you will have the Red Envelopes that you will open each day. You don’t need to do anything to open them as they are like login rewards for the event.
They are just free Envelopes that you claim each day as login rewards for LNY Points. Additionally, there are special Envelopes that you can open on occasions such as Lunar New Year’s Eve, the first day of Lunar New Year, and Valentine’s Day! The special Envelopes give out Gems, Standard Lunar New Year Packs, and more LNY Points.
Similar to previous mini-events, the maximum of the event is laid out in the Main Tab itself with the Daily Quests which hand out more LNY Points. The Quests are simple and range from scoring goals, making tackles, assists, and playing Division Rivals matches. Therefore they can be completed hassle-free by just logging in and playing the game regularly.
There are additional Quests on completing which you can earn extra LNY Points. Complete the Quests for extra LNY Points and Lunar New Year Pass Credits, which help you gain progress down the Lunar New Year Pass. Therefore completing the Quests also helps you gain progress down the Lunar New Year Pass. Additionally, on completing the Quests for the event, you fill out your LNY FP Bank with which you can buy FC Points in the Store at an 80% discounted rate.
This is a continuation of the Main Chapter, on the right-hand side of the Quests and present in the Main Tab itself. In the Dragon Trial, you need to defeat a team of Lunar New Year event Players with a preset team of Lunar New Year event Zodiac Players with the scoreline being 0-2 down for extra LNY Points, Lunar New Year Packs, Emotes, and a Manchester City Year of the Dragon jersey.
If the match gets too tricky for you, you can further lower its difficulty by playing the set of four Skill Games and three Matches in the Mini Challenge section. The Mini Challenge resets every couple of days thereby enabling you to lower the difficulty of the Dragon Trial match further.
But at the beginning of the event, if you completed it and finished the Mini Challenge and Dragon Trial match in at least level 3, you can claim all the rewards and you are done. There’s nothing more in this section, that’s it you are done on Day 1 of the event.
If there is nothing new added in the event for which the chances are less, then all you are gonna get for completing these Skill Games and Matches beyond that is just some Coins! Needless to say, completely disappointing!
Moving into the LNY Gift Tab, here you will spend your hard-earned LNY Points. There are two paths to use your LNY Points, the first one is the Dragon Lantern. The Dragon Lantern is a path that requires you to spend Gems at times to work your way through it. You can get Gems, Coins, Universal Rank Players, Lunar New Year Players, and a Zodiac Token.
This path could probably be your best bet to earn some Lunar New Year Players, although needless to say all of them are untradeable. The second way to spend your LNY Points is the LNY Gift Store where you can again spend your LNY Points for Lunar New Year Packs, Universal Rank Players, and a Zodiac Token. You may as well use your points in both places. The rewards in the LNY Gift Store resets weekly so watch out the following week and make your pick!
There is a special Lunar New Year-themed Kit as well that you can redeem from the LNY Gift Store. Further right is the much-awaited Zodiac Box! This is the gumball-machine-themed Wheel of Rewards that we have seen in seasons past. There is a slight change to the Box as there are no duplicates involved this year and once you claim a player it’s not replaced with another reward so every time you spin, you get a new player which of course is untradeable.
So basically if you have 12 Zodiac Tokens, you are guaranteed the 95 OVR RW Phil Foden card. But the fun fact is from the event, at most, you can get 3x Zodiac Tokens for free. The remaining you can get from the Store for 32000 Gems in exchange for 9x Zodiac Tokens. With the 32000 Gems, you can get the 95 OVR Phil Foden, but of course, it will be untradeable. So if you are looking to cash in your Gems for a high-rated RW, this can be your bet!
Lunar New Year Pass
Similar to all the mini-events, there’s an event-specific Pass for Lunar New Year as well. You need to complete the Quests to gain the Lunar New Year Pass Credits and progress through the Lunar New Year Pass. There are two sides to the Pass with of course the Paid Pass being more lucrative than the Free one.
There are also items and in-game resources for the event present in the Lunar New Year Pass. Gain progress through the Lunar New Year Pass and earn Lunar New Year Players, Universal Rank Players, FC Points, Gems, Pass Points, Coins, and the Lunar New Year special player 94 OVR LB Alphonso Davies!

|Dragon Trial Pack
Since there is no Challenge Mode, further LNY Points can’t be obtained from either of the above places. Therefore simply playing the event, one can easily accumulate a total of:
You can get at least a minimum of 1380 LNY Points from playing the event
FC Mobile 24 Lunar New Year Event Guide
Lunar New Year has a little amount of grind, with daily skill games and matches to play in FC Mobile 24. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything so let’s explain it here.
Now tips for the event. Play everything. Be excited that there’s no event energy or stamina involved anymore in the new season. We’re not dealing with the constant fear of energy getting wasted and full and neither has there been a single ad since the game was released. So yes, definitely enjoy it while you can.
|Dragon Lantern Rewards
|LNY Points Required
|81 OVR GK Universal Rank Player – Dudek
|90-97 OVR Lunar New Year Player
From the Calculations above you can clearly see that should you play the event throughout, you are gonna easily end with at least 1380 LNY Points. With that, you can utilize spending the above on Dragon Lantern Rewards. Now if you go through the Lantern, they only require 570 LNY Points which means you will still be left with over 810 LNY Points to spend.
The additional rewards from the Dragon Lantern including Universal Rank Players – Mascherano, 90-97 OVR Lunar New Year Player, Coins, Gems, and the much-awaited Zodiac Token can be earned by spending either Gems or FC Points so you won’t be needing any more of the LNY Points.
LNY Gift Store
|LNY Gift Store Rewards
|LNY Points Required
|6x Lunar New Year Base Pack
|2x Lunar New Year Standard Pack
|2x 81 OVR GK Universal Rank Player – Dudek
|2x 91 OVR CDM Universal Rank Player – Mascherano
|2x Zodiac Token
|Lunar New Year Player Kit
From the above calculations, if you stick to only the Universal Rank Players ie Dudek and Mascherano, you will need 500 LNY Points over the two weeks of the event. The lucrative Zodiac Tokens cost 100 LNY Points each with a total of 200 LNY Points required throughout the event. Overall, the full set of Universal Rank Players and the Zodiac Tokens will require 700 LNY Points.
Be careful as the LNY Gift Store resets weekly so all the rewards other than the Lunar New Year Player Kit that you see above will reset once in seven days. If you already have invested 570 LNY Points in the Dragon Lantern, then you should have 810 LNY Points in the bag to spend. Make a wise choice and utilize them in the LNY Gift Store towards only the Zodiac Tokens and the Universal Rank Players.
Besides these, the Lunar New Year Standard and Base Packs are again luck-based and you may not come out with any high-rated players. the Lunar New Year Jersey, on the other hand, requires 30 LNY Points and can be a decent pick if you are looking for a new fancy kit for your team! Therefore:
Besides the LNY Gift Store Packs, all the rewards from both the LNY Gift Store and Dragon Lantern can be easily completed by just playing through the event
As far as our advice goes, no matter what you are getting from this event, make it a point to claim all the 3x Mascheranos from the Gift Store and Dragon Lantern. Additionally, grab the 3x Zodiac Tokens as well from both the aforementioned places to try your luck with the Zodiac Box at least three times.
FC Mobile 24 Lunar New Year Event Players
That’s it the Lunar New Year Event in a nutshell. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this event. All the calculations are at your doorstep there, do with it what you will and plan carefully. Basically, just play the event, every day, daily grind it out.
Overall Lunar New Year is not an awful event, it’s a mini-event that lasts only two weeks long. It’s not much about gambling and pack luck given you are guaranteed a 95 OVR card (though untradeable) if you spend 32k Gems. But if you look back historically on what the Lunar New Year event has been in seasons past, then the current event does a great disservice. It’s depressing to see what the Lunar New Year has come down to be, it should have been massive, but no we are stuck with a mini-event!
