After a satisfactory Carniball event, EA brings back the fan-favorite Champions League Event as the tournament hits its round of 16. As the elite 16 clubs from Europe pit against each other in search of glory, we fans can take part in this mega football frenzy through the FIFA Mobile 21 Champions League Round of 16.

Round of 16
In the Main Round of 16 Tab, you will be using your UCL Energy to play a series of VSA matches or Skill Games for UCL Trade-Ins. Similar to the Boxing Day VSA matchups, this is a League Matchups type event, with every day you having four games to play as you take control of a custom Champions League team lineup.
For the VSA matches, you are awarded 25 Trade-Ins for a win, 10 for a draw, and 10 for a loss incurred. It takes 4 UCL energy per match to play. Additionally, you can earn kits of all the 16 Champions League teams as a first-time win. Playing with different teams earns you better rewards in the Daily Rewards section, but feel free to use the same team multiple times if you wish.
Win 4 Matches each day for the additional bonus reward of UCL Trade-Ins. The amount you receive depends on the number of different teams you’ve won over the course of the entire event. So if you have a choice and there is a team that you haven’t already beaten, always go for that! You can’t claim it until you have maxed out the 4 matches for a particular day.
Once you win with all the 16 different teams, you will end up with 90 OVR RM Hudson-Odoi as part of an additional milestone. There are also 7 weekly coin packs that give 8 UCL Energy for 22,000 coins each and 3 daily ads giving 4 UCL Energy each.
Note: Once you’ve claimed your Daily Reward, you have to wait until the next reset before you can claim it again. Make sure to play your daily matches with different teams before claiming it, so that you maximize the rewards available.
Reward Path
Exchange your hard-earned UCL Trade-Ins here for Gold/Elite/UCL Players, Training XP, Coins, Skill Boosts, and UCL Tokens. Receive UCL Points based on what rewards you choose. Every time you trade them in, you also earn UCL Points.
After that, take your UCL Points over to the player section, where you will find a wide variety of UCL Elites and Masters! Scrolling further down the path these UCL Points turn into players. As you trade your stuff in this is what comes out of it. There are a couple of Icons milestones including Event Icon 97 OVR CB Franco Baresi and Prime Icon 102 OVR RW George Best, both of them being heavily P2P.
Star Games
Visit this chapter to play Star Games and Matches for UCL Tokens. Receive daily UCL Tickets as your stamina, based on what difficulty you select. Every Star Game and Match costs 1 UCL Ticket to play. Losing does not give back your UCL Ticket.
There are three paths to choose from, it starts with Easy and eventually goes up with difficulty. Start in Easy and work your way up to Hard. Unlock the next level of difficulty based on the number of Stars you earn in the previous one.
- Easy – 20 UCL Tickets
- Medium – 15 UCL Tickets (Unlock with 15 Stars on Easy)
- Hard – 10 UCL Tickets (Unlock with 15 Stars on Medium)
All UCL Ticket amounts are from daily claims. You cannot save up extra UCL Tickets. If you do not use up all your UCL Tickets on a given day, the next day’s claim will only give the difference. For example, if you have 7 leftover UCL Tickets and choose the Hard difficulty, you will only receive 3 UCL Tickets that day.
Once you’ve completed the 4 Star Games and the Final Match of your selected difficulty, you can redeem your Milestone Reward. The Milestone Reward is limited to one claim daily, so choose when to redeem wisely. At any time, you can go back and replay any Star Game to maximize your Stars.
UCL Player Box
The last tab is the UCL Player Box. This is where you trade in your hard-earned UCL Tokens. Spend your UCL Tokens here on the wheel to earn extra UCL Players, Coins, and Skill Boosts. After 8 pulls, get a guaranteed UCL Player.
Spending your UCL Tokens gives you progress down the Milestone Path. Earn Common, Rare, and Epic Shards, as well as an Event Icon 97 OVR ST Kenny Dalglish! The players reset after the first week with a fresh set of players.
SBC
SBC in exchange for Rank Shards is back again from the Carniball. There is a single weekly Squad Building Challenge in the main tab which exchanges for Rank Shards, which you will use for ranking up.
You should be completing the SBCs but the longer you wait, the cheaper the players will become. It’s not that tough, each requires only 5 players, with the total team OVR being 82+ and 85+ OVRs, while only two of them being Champions League players.
There is also an additional SBC which requires a total team OVR of 88 and yields a 90+ OVR Champions League player, the players are very cheap with the release of the event and should be able to complete them easily

After an amazing, Carniball, Champions League Round of 16 is a decent event in FIFA Mobile 21. It has a little amount of grind, with daily VSA matches and a hell lot of event currencies. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything so let’s explain it here.
First and foremost as usual this is an event energy-based event. So never ever let your energy get filled out. Don’t let your energy refresh out. Never! Save your coin packs and use them if you ever fail to complete your daily 4 wins and you can horde your ads and watch them before reset so that you have a stack of energy. Remember to use everything before their respective reset timings.

From the table above we can clearly see you can grab the 99 rated CB if you are extremely pro at playing VSA. Otherwise, either of the 98 rated players should be pretty doable for any average VSA player. Note that the gems required for the last two 100+ rated players are specified only if you can achieve a 100% win rate in your VSA Matches which would suggest either you cheated or you are a bot! The Icons are way out of the normal F2P reach so let’s not discuss them.
If you are going for the Player Rewards, spend your UCL Trade-Ins on any offer other than the UCL Players and UCL Tokens as they offer a bad conversion rate and not 1:1, unlike the resource offers. So manage your energy and take the daily milestone with your 4 wins to pick your target player.
Star Games
This is the place where you will need the UCL Tokens. Additionally, you can also spend your Trade-Ins for UCL Tokens. The Event Icon 97 OVR ST Kenny Dalglish can cost you a total of 7500 gems if you complete the hard skill games every day.

Get to the Hard Star Skill Games and just play it. Don’t worry about it, if you still don’t get all the 15 stars, try to 10 stars and complete the match, you will still land up with 75 tokens per day. Stop playing the VSA after you get all the 4 wins and horde the energy for maximising rewards.
Remember the best players in this event are in the UCL Player box. All of the players are available in the market, plus the wheel gives you boosts and coins. Additionally there are Rank Shards at the end of it. Boosts and Rank Shards are the most important resource of this game, never ever forget it!
FIFA Mobile 21 Champions League Round of 16 Event Players
That’s it the Champions League Round of 16 Event in a nutshell. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this event. All the calculations are at your doorstep there, do with it what you will and plan carefully. Champions League Round of 16 is a huge event with a lot of event currencies and resources especially rank shards. It can get confusing really and there is a lot of stuff going on with it. It is a very involved event not with players available at 100 and 101 OVRs. Don’t forget to maximize your wins with the VSA event, deploy all your skills, and go broke! On the whole, it’s not that bad, but not too good and is disappointing. It’s just a decent event with lots of skill games and lots of skill games.

He is, if you like him or are an OG Liverpool fan then Dalglish can surely cater to your Liverpool Squad, otherwise, he is an Icon and therefore non-auctionable so take your pick wisely.
Which trade in is the best to reedem for collecting more ucl points alone. Cuz some of the trade in reward varies in the ucl point.
Focus on the resource trade offers, they offer a 1:1 value for exchange with UCL Points, go for them either the boosts, coins or XP.
To grab de lit, per day how many mathes i have to play and how many matches I have to win in those matches
You need to win at least 60% of your matches and collect the 4 win bonus every day to grab De Ligt free to play. It does not sound very realistic for an average player and you may have to resort to spending at least 5000 gems depending upon your winrate.
Can I get matip and giroud in ucl r16
It is very very unlikely to get them free to play as otherwise, you need to be a pro in VSA, you can try gem packs for the remaining leftovers, which should be done within 7.5k gems ie 3 gem packs maximum, again it is assuming you manage to win at least half of your VSA matches.

The other 8 teams come the next week ie after the completion of 6 days.

On hard difficulty the final game says to score a brace and concede less than 0 goals. How do you concede less than 0? I finished the game with a brace and win 2 – 0 and it says i lost with successfully completing brace and conceding 0/0 goals, super confused
Yes, the last match in the Hard node is bugged as of now, No wonder how many times you try will still result as a failure even if you complete the conditions, leave that for now and collect your reward before reset if a fix doesn’t arrive.

You need to complete all the 15 stars in easy (3stars in all 5) to unlock medium on the next day of reset and do the same to unlock hard the next day.

I played only one game in the weekly UCL event and lost it. now i no longer have the right to play a match I don’t understand … if you lose you are directly ejected? Is that normally?
If you have taken the daily claim reward, then yes you are done for this week, it was strictly advised in the official guide from EA as well, it was a one-time claim and not to claim if before completion. Claiming it will lock you out for this week. You can again play the weekly matchups next week and don’t claim the reward before your 15 matches! Never!
