Fortnite is an ever-changing game. Recently it went back to its simpler and easier-to-understand root by taking inspiration from Chapter 1 of Fortnite for its previous season. It was a huge hit amongst players and now they are going back to introducing and incorporating more interesting stuff into the game. Society Medallions are one of the newest additions made to Fortnite as a part of Chapter 5 Season 1 and they can be very rewarding if you can get your hands on them. So here’s everything you need to know about it.
Society Medallions in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
Society Medallions are a new addition to Fortnite and they will provide you with a pretty cool advantage. You will be able to regenerate your shield continuously using them throughout the game. The good news doesn’t end there as these Society Medallions don’t take up your inventory space in Fortnite.
They have a designated slot for themselves just like building materials have for themselves. You can carry up to five Society Medallions with you. Each medallion increases the stats of your shield by a different number. Here’s how much each one of the medallions can regenerate.
Number of Society Medallions | Shield Regeneration Stats |
---|---|
1 or 2 Society Medallions | +3 Shield per tick |
3 Society Medallions | +6 Shield per tick |
4 or 5 Society Medallions | +8 Shield per tick |

What to find the Orange Circles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
Since when you pick up a Society Medallion you gain a ton of advantage over other players, there’s going to be a downside of it too. The moment you pick up a medallion, your location will be revealed and an Orange Circle will form around your location on the map for everyone else to see and locate you.

The more medallions you pick up, the radius of the orange circle will get smaller and smaller making it more precise to your location with as many medallions you pick up. So a medallion acts like a tracking device for you to all your enemies and the only way to get rid of it is by dropping it.
