Ever since the new Chapter 5 has started in Fortnite, NPCs are once again back in the business. During every new season, a new set of NPCs gets introduced in the game and this time it’s not different as well. There are two types of NPCs available in Fortnite and those are friendly and hostile. Friendly NPCs will offer you their services in exchange for Gold Bars while hostile ones will try to eliminate you from the game. In this guide, we will talk about how you can find all the new NPC locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and use their services.
NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
There are several NPCs available in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. If you plan to hire friendly NPCs for their services, you can do so by giving them Gold Bars. There are also several hostile NPCs present on the map whom you can try to defeat and take up their special weapons which they will drop once defeated for yourself.
As of now, a total of 20 friendly NPCs are available in the game along with other hostile NPCs. The number of NPCs in the game might increase as the season progresses.
Where to find NPC locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Different NPCs offer different services and you can acquire them according to your choices. Here’s the list of all the locations where you can find NPCs and what services they offer in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
- Artemis – This NPC is available at the Lavish Lair landmark. You can buy the Epic rarity Huntress DMR for 300 Gold Bars. You can also the NPC as a Scout Specialist for 250 Gold Bars.
- Meowscles – Can be found at the Lil’ Villa landmark. You can buy the Epic rarity Gatekeeper Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars. The NPC can also be hired as a Heavy Specialist for 250 Gold Bars.
- Myna – This NPC can be at the Rebels’s Roost landmark. You can do several things with this NPC. You can buy the Epic rarity Reaper Sniper Rifle for 300 Gold Bars, and hire it as a Scout Specialist for 250 Gold Bars. You can also challenge Myna for a Rare rarity Reaper Sniper Rifle and Harbinger SMG.
- Laguna – This one is located at the Rescue Station landmark where you can buy the Epic rarity Thunder Burst SMG for 300 Gold Bars while the NPC is also available to be hired as a Medic Specialist using 250 Gold Bars.
- Bravo Leader – Can be found at the Snooty Steppes location. Here you can buy the Epic rarity Warforged Assault Rifle for 300 Gold Bars along with hiring the NPC as a Supply Specialist for 250 Gold Bars. Additionally, you can also challenge the Bravo Leader into a battle to get the Warforged Assault Rifle for free.
- Poseidon – This NPC can be found at the Reckless Railways location. You can buy the Warforged Assault Rifle for 300 Gold Bars and Chug Splash for 120 Gold Bars from here. You can also hire Poseidon as a Heavy Specialist for 250 Gold Bars.
- Medusa – She can be found at the Fencing landmark. You can buy Shockwave Grenades from her for 200 Gold Bars along with also getting the ability to activate Prop Disguise for 50 Gold Bars.
- Aphrodite – You can find this NPC at the Lovely Lodge location. You can buy the Epic rarity Harbinger SMG for 300 Gold Bars from her along with also being able to hire her as a Medic Specialist for 250 Gold Bars.
- Spartan Assassin – Can be found at the Slumberyard landmark. The Epic rarity Huntress DMR is available here for 300 Gold Bars along with the option of hiring this NPC as a Supply Specialist for 250 Gold Bars. You can also challenge it for a Rare rarity Warforged Assault Rifle which you’ll get for free if you can defeat the NPC in the challenge.
- Marigold – This NPC can be found at the Seaside Villa location. Here you can buy the Epic rarity Ranger Pistol for 300 Gold Bars along with the Wings of Icarus for 300 Gold Bars.
- Brutus – Can be found at the Pleasant Plaza landmark. This NPC sells Bandages for 125 Gold Bars along with the Epic rarity Frenzy Auto Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars.
- Jules – This NPC is available at the Piney Pumps location. You can buy Shockwave Grenades for 200 Gold Bars along with the Epic rarity Gatekeeper Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars from here.
- Skye – You can find this NPC at the Catcher’s Cove landmark. You can buy the Epic rarity Harbinger SMG for 300 Gold Bars and the Wings of Icarus for 300 Gold Bars from here.
- Tntina – Can be found at the Ship It! Station location. You can buy Cluster Clingers for 200 Gold Bars and the Hammer Pump Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars from here.
- Hope – You can find this NPC at the Grand Glacier location. Here you can buy the Epic rarity Reaper Sniper Rifle for 300 Gold Bars. You can also activate Rift to Go for 300 Gold Bars.
- Shade Midas – This one is located at The Marigold landmark. Here you can acquire the Patch Up service for 100 Gold Bars and also buy Midas’ Mythic Drum Gun for 600 Gold Bars.
- Khari – This NPC can be found at the Pantheon Path location. From here you can buy the Epic rarity Warforged Assault Rifle for 300 Gold Bars along with Chug Splash for 120 Gold Bars. You can also challenge Khari for a Rare rarity Warforged Assault Rifle or a Rare rarity Huntress DMR for free.
- Clara – Can be found at The Cemetery landmark. You can buy the Epic rarity Harbinger SMG for 300 Gold Bars and Shockwave Grenades for 200 Gold Bars. You can also challenge Clara for a battle to get a Rare rarity Harbinger SMG or a Rare rarity Reaper Sniper Rifle for free.
- Jittershock – This one can be found at the Reclaimed Villa landmark. Here you can buy the Epic rarity Gatekeeper Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars and activate Rift to Go for 300 Gold Bars. You can also challenge Jittershock for battle and win a Rare rarity Gatekeeper Shotgun or a Rare rarity Nemesis AR for free if you win.
- Etheria – This NPC can be found southeast of The Other Windmill location. You can buy the Epic rarity Huntress DMR for 300 Gold Bars from here. You can also get Shield Bubble Jr. for 120 Gold Bars from here as well. Lastly, you can challenge Etheria for a battle and if you win you can get a Rare rarity Warforged Assault Rifle and a Rare rarity Huntress DMR for free.
List of Hostile NPCs and Bosses in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Apart from friendly NPCs, hostile NPCs are also present in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. If you can defeat them in a battle, you will probably be rewarded with something which might change the result of the game. So you shouldn’t always try to avoid contact with these hostile NPCs all the time. Here are the locations where you can find hostile NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
1. Olympian Bosses
You can find these NPCs by looking at the Altars which will appear on the map right after you start a match. Each of these markers shows the location of an Olympian Boss Altar that hasn’t been challenged yet. You can fight against these bosses and if you win, you will be rewarded with an Aspect of the Gods medallion.
A total of four medallions are available in the game right now and each one of them will provide you with unique ability. You will also be able to acquire a unique Mythic weapon along with the medallion after defeating the boss. These Olympian Bosses can be found at Mount Olympus, Brawler’s Battleground, Grim Gate, and The Underworld respectively.
2. Forecast Tower Bosses
You can also fight against Forecast Tower Bosses in Fortnite. They can be found near Reclaimed Villa, Restored Reels, Lil’ Villa, Zenith Wall, and Estate Station. Three hostile NPCs will spawn at any of these locations before the second Storm Circle starts to close.
You can choose to fight against them and if you win you’ll be rewarded with an Epic rarity Huntress DMR and the ability to see the forecast which will allow you to know where the next Storm Circle will be before it is revealed to other players.
3. Vault Bosses
Society vaults were removed from the current season of Fortnite at its beginning. But still, several protected vaults can be found on the map. You can find these vaults bear Rebel’s Roost, Estate Station, Coastal Comms, and Unmoored Manor.
You will have to defeat the hostile NPC bosses present at these locations to acquire their vault keycards. With these keycards, you will be able to open the metal doors of the vaults and gain access to all the loot that is available inside.
