The next major update patch for Free Fire is the OB24 update which is all set to arrive at the end of this month. The registration for the advance server of this update has already begun. The last update, Free Fire OB23 update, brought a lot of new stuff and features in the game. The previous update gave us an idea of what ‘Plan Bermuda’ could be. This update will implement the plan in the game extensively. Moreover, the Free Fire OB24 update patch will also bring a lot of new features in the game.
So what does this update bring to the table? Here are the new features that the Free Fire OB24 update patch will come with:
1. New Lobby
Players will get to experience a new lobby. This new lobby is quite a spacious one and very lavish. It’ll contain a lot of fireworks and will be sporting a look filled with a yellow color in the backdrop. Overall, a lobby worthy of keeping till Halloween.
In the Indian server, the lobby will also display fireworks and a festive greeting as “Happy Diwali”. It’ll be primarily themed on the Free Fire Continental Series.
2. New Characters: Dasha and Sverr
Every patch update brings at least two new characters. Well, the Free Fire OB24 update won’t let you down either. Players can expect two new characters rolling out in the Free Fire world soon enough when the update patch goes live. This patch is going to be a very special one in the sense that players will get to see yet another character possessing a strong active skill. Let’s get to know more about these characters.
Dasha, 25, is a prankster and rebel. She seems to be a fun sort of person unless she turns wild, which is when she’s about to cause mayhem. Her skill is a passive one. Its name is Partying On. This skill will really come in handy for the survival experts as well as for rushers. It’s more like an active skill as it gives a lot of buffs at the expense of just one skill slot.
One of the most important aspects of this skill is its ability to reduce damage taken from falls. This skill should be really useful for the campers out there who prefer camping in dangerous spots located really high in Kalahari and other maps. With this skill equipped, your accuracy will be more reliable when shooting on the move. Here is how much his skill upgrades at each successive level.

Sverr is a top-tier MMA fighter. He’s a born fighter who has a thirst for blood inside him that helps him channelize his inner berserker when he’s out there in the ring. He will be coming into Free Fire in the next update.
His animations and voice dialogues seem pretty awesome. Of course, that is what you expect from a legendary character with an active skill. His skill is called ‘Going Berserk’. It’s an offensive skill, quite an interesting, unprecedented turn from the usual healing/defensive skills Free Fire comes out within each update patch. Players can now finally expect a wide variety of uniqueness when it comes to ‘skills’. This character is the first one towards that approach.
The Going Berserk skill gives the player a boost in damage inflicted at the expense of HP consumption. It’s a gambler skill which might work in your favor, might not. But one thing is clear, this character will require the players to have the courage to take on the risk of battling it out as it’s an attack based skill with a very short cooldown time period at max level. Here is how much his skill upgrades at each successive level.
|Level 1||Consumes 40 HP to increase damage by 10%. |
Duration 5 seconds.
|Level 2||Consumes 38 HP to increase damage by 12%. |
Duration 5 seconds.
|Level 3||Consumes 36 HP to increase damage by 14%. |
Duration 5 seconds.
|Level 4||Consumes 34 HP to increase damage by 16%. |
Duration 5 seconds.
|Level 5||Consumes 32 HP to increase damage by 18%. |
|Level 6||Consumes 30 HP to increase damage by 20%. |
3. New Plan: Bermuda Map
The Bermuda map is one of the oldest maps and also one of the most popular maps in Free Fire. This map has recently been revamped to make it a bit more filled up so that it gives rise to more strategies and overall becomes as tactical as the Kalahari map.
Several new locations were already released in the ‘Bermuda: Remastered’ Map Clash Squad mode. Now, these locations are likely to be made available in classic and gradually in the ranked mode as well. Even the popular tactical spots will be revamped like the Clock tower, Bimasakti strip, Peak, etc.
These changes to the map are surely going to make it even competitive, gameplay-wise. Several of the new locations have been inspired by real-life places. The implementation of the updated map is currently being done through the La Casa De Papel × Free Fire collaboration under Plan Bermuda.
4. New Weapons
Lately, it’s been customary to expect at least one new weapon in the game every update patch, to improve and innovate on battle experience. Well, the Free Fire OB24 update patch won’t let you down on that either.
Not one but three new weapons are to be introduced in the game. Two of them will be Long Range rifles, almost like sniper rifles feeding on AR ammunition. The third weapon will be a close-range tertiary one in the form of a flame thrower.
The M21 Woodpecker will be using AR ammo, has high armor-piercing abilities, and is known to be very precise and deadly. It gives a base dmg of 72 on targets hanging on the training grounds. This can be considered a great alternative for the SKS.
It supports all the attachments you could possible want in it. Well, except a 4x scope which is pre-attached.
This is also going to be an assault cum sniper rifle, consuming AR ammo in this game. The ParaFAL 7.62mm M964 A1 MD1 is a 7.62×51mm NATO battle rifle which is a lighter-weight modification of the 30-year-old Brazilian-licensed and built FN FAL, MD2, and MD3.
It can support all the attachments an AR gun can possibly support. From silencers, muzzles, foregrips, stocks, extended mag to 2x, 4x scopes. It’s a high firepower gun with a decent rate of fire. This can be a good substitute for the M14.
A tertiary weapon, a first of its kind, to be introduced in this game. Aim assist will be turned off when using this weapon. It blows a gush of a flame giving chunks of damage to the enemy when close enough.
Could be a good substitute for the USP, G18. It’ll be all the handier especially when it gets crowded so you can just spray your way out of the battle spot.
5. New Pet
Keeping up with what has now become a tradition, a new pet will also make its way into the lands in the game in this upcoming Free Fire OB24 update patch. It looks like a raccoon. Its skill name is Stay Chill. It wears a rather odd ‘punk’ styled outfit expressing its love for what it loves rather than following what’s in trend or popular.
It is also going to have a skill that’ll reduce the cooldown period of the owner’s active skill. Its name will be Rockie. It’ll be apparently reducing the cooldown of active skill by 10% at pet level 5.
Free Fire OB24 update: Other in-game changes
- New Display Interface to check out weaponry. The new weapon section looks much better than the previous one.
- Availability of armor in the Training Grounds. Players will now be able to wear helmets and vests while practicing on the training grounds. This was a much-needed feature demanded by the players all over the world.
- New emotes: Several new emotes, including one Indian emote called ‘Bhangra’ will be introduced. The Indian server players are going to like this emote especially, as it has a connection with the Indian tradition of expressing emotions through the dance form called the same.
- New Weapon Section will be available other than the one mentioned above. This section will be for crafting and collection of fragments for weapons just like players have been doing for the characters.
- New FFCS Content and Events: The Free Fire OB24 update patch will also feature contents related to the ‘Free Fire Continental Series‘ in which the best teams of the world will be facing off each other. The tentative date for the Asia server matches is 29th November.
