Fleeting Colors in Flight is the upcoming event in the second half of the Genshin Impact 2.4 update, and basically is the rerun of last year’s Lantern Rite Festival. This event will feature a lot of new quests and fun events, along with a daily login event rewarding a total of 10 intertwined fates.
Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight Event: How to unlock
- Players must have Adventure Rank 28 or above.
- Completed the Archon Quest “Chapter I: Act III – A New Star Approaches”.
- Completed the Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act I – “The Crane Returns on the Wind”.
Fleeting Colors in Flight: Event Duration
The event will last from 25th of January, 2022 10:00 to 12th of February, 2022 03:59 (Server Time). It will be in the Event Shop from 25th of January, 2022 10:00 to 14th of February, 2022 03:59 (Server Time).
Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight Event: Sub-events
The second half of the Genshin Impact 2.4 Update is filled with lots of fun mini-games and event challenges, which will have lots of rewards in store for the players.
1. Flameplume Sunflowers
This event will feature a fireworks gadget, which can be used by players to make and launch fireworks in the sky. After completing the event quest associated with it, there will be a reward of Gadget ‘Launch Tube’, which can be equipped through the gadget menu and used anywhere on the map, except in some situations.
Fireworks can be made through Smelt Firework, which opens the Flameplume Sunflowers Production Challenge, where various factors can be manipulated in order to make different fireworks.
The Quality Rating determines the overall quality of the firework and that can be affected by these-
- Parameters: Fireworks have multiple smelting parameters. The overall Quality Rating is higher, when the quality of each parameter is closer to the ideal zone.
- Smelting Techniques: Different smelting techniques can be used to adjust the quality of each parameter. Some smelting techniques can be only obtained after reaching certain score milestones.
- Firepower: In the Production challenge, when firepower is at medium or full, a single smelting will provide a bonus to the parameter’s quality.
The gadget launch tube will be not a time-limited one, which means it can be used to modify and launch the already-made fireworks. However, the production feature will not work anymore after the event ends.
This will be just like last year’s Lantern Rite Festival, where already-constructed Xiao Lanterns could be kept, even after the event had ended. The rewards for this event include Primogems, Affluence Talismans, Hero’s Wits, Fireworks, Mystic Enhancement Ores and Mora.
2. The Great Gathering
This event will feature battles on the sea around the region of Guyun Stone Forest with Traveller’s Waverider, in order to procure materials for the newly rebuilt Jade Chamber. During this event, new Waverider Waypoints will be available all over Guyun Stone Forest, in order to start the challenges. New waypoints will be event-exclusive which means after the event ends they will disappear. During challenges, the wave rider can only operate in the challenge areas and will reset, if it exceeds the boundaries.
After the salvation process is initiated, players will need to face these sub-challenges.

| Return To Safe Harbor | Within the limited time, defeat the treasurer hoarders and transport the recovered materials to designation locations. |
| The Key Catch | Defeat the eltime treasure hoarders within a limited time, to hamper them in escaping with supplies. |
Elite Treasure Hoarders can empower themselves with Defence, which can be broken by using Quelling Firecrackers. These special firecrackers can be obtained in their camps and can be thrown at them to deal Pyro damage and dispel the buff.
The rewards for this event include Primogems, Immaculate Talismans, Recipe for Bountiful Year, Hero’s Wits, Fireworks, Mystic Enhancement Ores and Mora.
3. Wondrous Shadows
This event will have a puzzle mini-game, where players will have to adjust and rotate a structure to form a viable object of its shadow. The event challenge can be accessed by Liyue’s NPC Yuan Rong.
The rewards for this event include Primogems, Affluence Talismans, Hero’s Wits, Fireworks, Mystic Enhancement Ores and Mora.
4. Oceanic Defender
Players can access a domain to defeat powerful monsters that reside there. The rewards for this event include Primogems, Conquest Talismans, Hero’s Wits, Fireworks and Mora.
Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight Event: Special Events
Prosperous Partnership
This event can be unlocked by completing the Event Quest “The Star Inscribe the Year’s Wish”. In this event, players can obtain one 4-star character hailing from Liyue, by exchanging them with 1000 Conquest Talismans and 100 Affluence Talismans.
Ningguang Special Skin
Ningguang will get a special outfit, which will be Orchid’s Evening Gown. In order to claim this skin, there will be a series of event missions that can be easily completed by playing all the events of the new Lantern Rite Festival.
Ninguang’s Outfit: Exchange Requirements
- Obtain 2400 Affluence Talismans
- Obtain 2200 Immaculate Talismans
- Obtain 1800 Conquest Talismans
This skin will be also added to the shop at the usual price of 1680 Genesis Crystals after the event ends. This would be for players that missed it.
New Furnishings
Following the theme of the Lantern Rite Festival, a bunch of new furnishings will be added to the game. Those are:
