The locations of all the Redcrest cacti in the Sumeru desert area are marked on the map below. There are a total of 80 Redcrests to be found, and unlike Scarabs, all of them are found above ground. All of them are also really close to teleport waypoints, which makes it easier for players to plan a farming route.

Players can look at the Teyvat interactive map for more accurate locations, or use this video guide for an easy and efficient way of farming all of them.

Uses of Redcrest in Genshin Impact

As of version 3.1, crafting no recipes use Redcrests. This might change in the future and Redcrests could become a key ingredient in certain potions. As of now, only one character uses Redcrest for their ascension and it is Candace, the new hydro polearm character released in version 3.1. She requires 168 Redcrests for maximum ascension. This number could easily be achieved by two farming runs. Players will have to wait 48 real-life hours before the Redcrests can respawn to be farmed again.
