Genshin Impact Mika Guide: Materials, Weapons, Artifacts, Playstyle, and Team Comps

Everything you need to know about Mika to bring him to the max potential

“Coordinates of Clear Frost” Mika is a 4* Physical support character who was released in Genshin Impact version 3.5. He is a dedicated support for Physical DMG-oriented DPS characters, especially Eula. This Mika guide will help players learn how to build him and use him in a team.

Genshin Impact Mika Guide: Materials, Weapons, and, Artifacts

Materials

Mika’s ascension materials can be farmed from the boss Setekh Wenut in the Sumeru Desert, while his talent materials can be farmed from the Forsaken Rift domain in Mondstadt and the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom weekly boss. Players can check out this article for a detailed list of Mika’s materials.

Weapons

Mika’s best-in-slot weapon is the Favonius Lance. Any ER% weapon is good on him. He can also be equipped with HP% weapons if players are trying to maximize his healing. Users can check out this article for a detailed breakdown of Mika’s best weapons.

Artifacts

Mika needs up to 250% ER (without Favonius Lance) to be able to use his burst-off cooldown. This requirement goes down with the number of Cryo teammates and Favonius users on the team. Mika’s best artifact set is the 4pc Noblesse Oblige even though only the 4pc effect works for him. The 4pc Exile can be good to help battery energy-hungry teammates like Eula. Players can check out this article for a detailed explanation of Mika’s best artifact sets.

Genshin Impact Mika: Playstyle, Team Comps, and Constellations

Playstyle

The most effective way to play Mika is to use his burst, then his skill, and score a Crit hit with a Normal attack. Then switch to the Physical DPS and continue attacking. Players can check out this article for a detailed explanation of Mika’s playstyle.

Team Comps

Other than healing, Mika provides two utilities: ATK speed buff and Physical DMG buff. He can be used accordingly with DPS characters who can utilize either of these buffs. Kamisato Ayato and Yoimiya can benefit from the ATK speed buff while Eula and Razor can benefit from the Physical DMG buff. Players can check out this article for a detailed guide to Mika’s team comps.

Constellations

Unfortunately, Mika needs his C6 to become a decent Physical DMG buffer. At C0, he is not recommended for Physical teams. Even at C6 he still loses out to Bennett in terms of the overall value that he can bring to Physical teams. Players can check out this article for a detailed breakdown of Mika’s constellations.

Final thoughts

Mika to Physical is not what Gorou and Faruzan are to Geo and Anemo. His ability to increase Physical DMG is very limited. Despite being a dedicated Physical buffer, he is not even the best option for Physical teams. Players need to be aware of his shortcomings before choosing to include him in a team.
