How to unlock and complete the Natlan Archon Quest ACT II “Black Stone Under a White Stone” in Genshin Impact
To ensure that players play the story in a smooth timeline:

The second Act of the main quest quick starts where it left off in Act I. The plot explores the characters’ resilience, their tribal customs, and their quest to uphold ancient traditions while contending with threats that could destabilize the entire region.
One of the strongest aspects of the story is its focus on cultural and tribal identity. The pilgrimage, the Sacred Flame, and the Wayob add layers of depth to Natlan’s lore, showing a civilization bound by tradition but constantly facing existential challenges. The Abyss, which in previous encounters seemed like a faceless enemy, now carries a personal and calculated menace, as it tailors its attacks to each tribe. This provides a fresh perspective on the Abyss.
Main Plot and The Pyro Archon Mavuika
The conflict arises when Kachina fails to be resurrected. Despite the successful battle, it creates tension not only among the characters but also within the reader. It marks a turning point in the story, shaking the community’s faith in their traditions and setting off a complex dilemma for Mavuika, the Pyro Archon.
The dilemma between continuing the pilgrimage at the risk of casualties or halting it and risking further Abyssal attacks showcases strong narrative stakes, pushing the characters to make difficult decisions that could change the fate of Natlan.
Mavuika’s struggle as a leader is poignantly portrayed, especially in her clash with Capitano. Her willingness to sacrifice her power to keep the Sacred Flame burning highlights the sacrifices leaders make to preserve their people.
The introduction of Capitano and his accusation against Mavuika adds a conflicted edge to the story, as external forces like the Fatui also have a hand in Natlan’s fate. Capitano’s looming threat casts a shadow over the story, offering a glimpse of larger conflicts ahead.
