Tighnari is a forest watcher who oversees and protects the Avidya Forest. He is a kind person and would occasionally check upon those, who are traveling through the forest, marking their way to Sumeru City. Even though he is kind by nature, he does not allow adversaries to have their way and won’t hesitate to teach them a lesson. As for unruly people, they usually get his stern lectures.

Name/ DescriptionType
Khanda Barrier-BusterNormal Attack
The skill performs up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
The skill performs a more precise Aimed shot with increased DMG. While aiming, the power of Dendro will accumulate on the arrowhead before the arrow is fired. It has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged:
Charge Level 1: The skill fires off an arrow carrying the power of flora that deals with Dendro DMG.
Charge Level 2: The skill fires off a Wreath Arrow that deals Dendro DMG. Upon hit, the Wreath Arrow will create 4 Clusterbloom Arrows that will track nearby opponents automatically and deal Dendro DMG.
Plunging Attack
The skill fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Vijnana-Phala MineElemental Skill
Tighnari throws a Vijnana Stormheart ahead that deals AoE Dendro DMG, creating a Vijnana-Khanda Field that creates mysterious illusions that taunt opponents and draw their fire.
Additionally, Tighnari gains the Vijnana Suffusion effect, which will decrease the Wreath Arrow’s charging time by 2.4 s. This effect will dissipate once the skill duration ends or after Tighnari has fired 3 Wreath Arrows.
Fashioner’s Tanglevine ShaftElemental Burst
The skill combines the power of all seeds to fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts that can track opponents and deal with Dendro DMG.
After they hit, the Tanglevine Shafts will create a second wave of Tanglevine Shafts that can also track opponents and deal Dendro DMG on hit.

Best Artifacts Build for Tighnari in Genshin Impact

In our Genshin Impact guide, we will discuss the artifact sets to farm and build for Tighnari.

Main DPS / Sub DPS Build

Tighnari is a powerful DPS character that can either be played as a Main DPS or a Sub-DPS character. He will also use the general DPS build, but with slight tweaks like using either an Attack Sands or an EM one. Depending on the type of build, he can also switch between Atk% and Dendro DMG bonus Goblet, but usually, elemental DMG is preferred and either a Crit Rate or Crit Damage Circlet.

Tighnari’s main source of damage comes from his charged attacks and Elemental Bursts, for which the best artifact sets for him are the Deepwood Memories and Wanderer’s Troupe sets. Deepwood Memories artifact on top of giving an additional DMG bonus can also shred targets’ Dendro resistance by a great margin, perfectly complimenting Tighanri’s kit.

On the other hand, Wanderer’s Troupe provides a flat EM buff and increased charged attack damage for him. He can also use another artifact set, Gilded Dreams, depending on the team’s comp.

Deepwood Memories

  • Set Bonuses
  • 2-Pieces: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.
  • 4-Pieces: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets’ Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.

Gilded Dreams

  • Set Bonuses
  • 2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Mastery +80
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs, based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

Wanderer’s Troupe

  • Set Bonuses
  • 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or Bow.

Hybrid Artifact Sets

Aside from the 4pc Artifact sets, players can also try for hybrid sets of 2pc, as they are much easier to farm and usually have better substats than that of 4pc sets. For Tighnari,  players can use 2pc Deepwood Memories + 2pc Wanderer’s Troupe / Gilded Dreams as a hybrid set.

Artifact Damage Potential Ranking

With a very invested min-maxing, Tighnari’s artifacts can be ranked in this order:

Deepwood Memories > Wanderer’s Troupe = Gilded Dreams > 2pc Deepwood Memories + 2pc Wanderer’s Troupe / Gilded Dreams

Artifact Stats Priority

In order to bring the damage potential to the maximum for any character, min-maxing will always have the utmost importance. Tighnari mainly uses his Elemental Bursts to deal damage which simplifies what sub-stat should be prioritized. Aside from the general DPS stat, players should aim to clear the ER% threshold first, because, in optimal rotations, his burst is quite important. Once ER% is not an issue, then focus on boosting CR/CD/ATK%/EM as required.

Desired Substats: CR% AND CD% > ATK% = ER%

Artifact TypeMain Stat Sub Stat Priority
FlowerHPCR%/CD% = EM = ATK% = ER%
PlumeATKCR%/CD% = EM = ATK% = ER%
SandsATK% / EMCR%/CD% = EM = ATK% = ER%
GobletDendro DMG Bonus%CR%/CD% = EM = ATK% = ER%
CircletCR / CD%CR%/CD% = EM = ATK% = ER%

ER% requirement for Tighnari

Tighnari’s main source of damage comes from his Elemental Burst and Charged Attacks.

The ER% threshold depends on what team comp Tighnari is used in, but to be on the safe side of things, they aim for at least 140%+. His Best in slot weapon won’t have Energy Recharge as a sub-stat, so all the ER% has to be acquired from artifacts substat, so farm and level up artifacts accordingly.

Best Weapons for Tighnari

Hunter’s Path is the signature weapon for Tighnari and is one of the best weapons for him by far when compared with other five-star alternatives like Polar Star and Aqua Simulacra. This weapon perfectly boosts his ability across the board with not a single wasted stat. Other five-star weapons are not that far behind, but in most situations, Hunter’s Path will usually come on top. In this section of the guide, we will discuss the best weapons for Tighnari in Genshin Impact.

It is to be noted that weapon rankings should only be taken as a reference, as damage numbers can skew depending on multiple factors, team comps, characters, artifacts, and rotations. Therefore, players should test their own characters to see what’s the best weapon for them.

  • Name: Forest Watcher’s Choice
  • In-game Description: Tighnari’s specialty.

The Forest Watcher personally picked out these edible mushrooms, not only the common ones but also a few mysterious-looking shrooms that players have never seen before. No condiments were added, for the limelight should go to the ingredients’ unmarred freshness. It must have taken him quite some time to prepare this delicious dish.

Food Effect: This item increases all party members’ DEF by 151 for 300 s. In Co-Op Mode, this effect is only applied to the own character(s).
