Honkai: Star Rail Cerydra Build Guide: Best Relics, Light Cone, Team Comps, and more

Build Cerydra to her max potential!

Story Highlights
  • Cerydra’s skill duplication mechanic unlocks devastating burst turns for hypercarries like Phainon and Anaxa.
  • Her unique buffs provide massive ATK, CRIT DMG, and SPD, but shine mainly in specific comps.
  • A niche support, she’s worth pulling only if you own her core DPS partners.

The Version 3.5 update of Honkai: Star Rail releases the much-anticipated 5-star character Cerydra. She is a Wind character following the Path of Harmony. This Honkai: Star Rail Cerydra Build Guide will help you get the most out of her abilities by offering a detailed breakdown of her skills and recommending the best configurations to optimize her performance.

Cerydra Gameplay

Cerydra is a Wind Harmony unit built to support hypercarries by empowering their attacks with a unique Military Merit buff. This buff grants a strong ATK boost to one ally, based on Cerydra’s own stats, and also lets her deal additional damage whenever that ally attacks.

Over time, she builds up Charge points, and once enough are stored, Military Merit upgrades into Peerage, which enhances the ally with CRIT DMG, RES PEN, and the ability to trigger Coup de Main. This special effect copies the ally’s skill and lets them use it twice in a row, opening up huge burst windows with the right characters. While situational, this mechanic allows her to maximize the damage of certain units that rely heavily on their skills.

Her kit further enhances consistency with strong passives. She gains massive CRIT DMG scaling based on her ATK, along with free CRIT Rate, meaning she only needs to stack ATK to benefit both herself and her allies. She also provides extra SPD to herself and her chosen ally, helping them act faster without needing SPD gear.

Through her ultimate, she can instantly gain Charge points and force Peerage at the perfect time, while her technique ensures the buff is active from the start of battle without consuming resources. Altogether, Cerydra is a specialized support that shines when paired with the right damage dealers, offering unique utility that can turn an ally’s skills into devastating double attacks.

Honkai Star Rail Cerydra Best Relics and Planar Ornaments

In this section of the Honkai: Star Rail Cerydra Build Guide, we will discuss what relics, main stats, and planar ornaments you need to focus on for Cerydra.

For stat goals, aim for around 140 SPD, 4000+ ATK in combat, and then stack extra HP and DEF as filler. Since she already gains a huge amount of CRIT DMG from her passives, you don’t need to chase it, making her builds much more straightforward.

  • Body: ATK
  • Feet: SPD
  • Planar Spear: ATK
  • Link Rope: ERR

Relic Set

Sacerdos’ Relived OrdealThe Sacerdos set works best in Phainon teams, since Phainon can snapshot the buffs, making the setup extremely valuable.

Outside of those comps, Sacerdos loses some efficiency because you don’t want to constantly spam Cerydra’s skill, though even a few stacks here and there can still help.
Eagle of Twilight Line
The Eagle set is another option, offering her more actions for better energy gain and an extra ultimate across longer fights, which can lead to an extra Coup de Main, but it’s not essential since she doesn’t ult often.

Planar Ornaments

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas/Penacony, Land of the Dreams
For planars, the best are Lushaka or Penacony with Anaxa, both of which buff the main carry’s damage while giving Cerydra energy regen.

Honkai Star Rail Cerydra Best Light Cone

Epoch Etched in Golden Blood (Cerydra’s 5* Light Cone)For light cones, Cerydra’s best-in-slot is her signature, Epoch Etched in Golden Blood. It has a very high base ATK, which directly boosts the Military Merit buff, plus a huge 64% ATK increase baked into the passive.

On top of that, it restores 1 SP when she uses her ultimate offensively, and if she uses her skill on a single target, it grants a 54% Skill DMG buff to an ally.

This cone fits her niche perfectly, as it enhances her buff uptime and provides extra team utility. However, because it’s so specialized and only really benefits her, most players don’t need to pull it unless they are heavily investing into her.
The Forever Victual (4*)Her new free-to-play light cone offers a flat 32% ATK boost, with up to an additional 48% ATK stacking through skill use, capping at 80% ATK total. This makes it a fantastic stat stick that keeps her scaling high while remaining easily accessible.
Flowing Nightglow (5*)Another solid option is Flowing Nightglow, Robin’s cone, which Cerydra can “borrow” if it’s not being used.

It gives plenty of ATK, team buffs, and some energy regeneration, making it a well-rounded and practical choice.

Best Team Comps for Cerydra in Honkai Star Rail

Cerydra’s team synergies are very narrow but extremely powerful where they work. Her kit is tied to ATK and CRIT hypercarries who rely heavily on skill usage, and that naturally makes her best with Phainon and Anaxa. She can function with Archer in specific setups, but she isn’t really a universal plug-in buffer.

Phainon Team

With Phainon, the synergy is borderline tailor-made. Cerydra not only enables his Coreflame skill burst, but her Coup de Main duplication makes his 4 Scourge skill absurdly strong by letting him fire it twice. This is his biggest source of damage, so amplifying it with Cerydra’s buffs pushes him into a much higher damage ceiling.

On top of that, her SPD buff lets Phainon comfortably run ATK boots and still outspeed advancers, smoothing out rotations. The only difference is that Phainon already has multiple amazing buffers, so Cerydra feels less mandatory, especially if your Phainon is already E2. Still, she’s a very relevant pull for anyone running E0 Phainon, where the extra amplification really shines.

Anaxa Team

With Anaxa, the interaction is flashier. Anaxa already duplicates his skill when attacking enemies with Qualitative Disclosure, but when Cerydra steps in with Coup de Main, she forces another duplication chain. The result is a massive damage multiplier chain with strong toughness break, energy gain, and Pure Fiction potential.

Since he constantly uses basics and skills with supports like Bronya or Sunday, Cerydra charges up very fast in his team, letting him repeat these chains more often. The main drawback is SP management; her SPD buff ticks down quickly with an advancer, so if you want maximum uptime, it can strain SP. Even then, she is an excellent partner if you don’t have Robin, or if you want to push Anaxa’s team damage to the next level.

Archer Team

Finally, Archer is more of a niche synergy. His constant skill spam generates Charge points for Cerydra very quickly, and the way his kit interacts with SP means that she can actually become SP positive in his team. Each Archer turn can effectively generate extra SP when paired with her kit.

However, while the SP engine is great, her buffs outside of her burst turn are weaker compared to a dedicated amplifier like Cipher, who provides consistent damage boosts every single shot. This makes her more of an experimental pick for Archer rather than a true best-in-slot partner.

Is Cerydra worth pulling in HSR

Cerydra is a niche but powerful support whose value depends heavily on whether you own her core partners. Her skill duplication mechanic is undeniably unique, letting hypercarries like Phainon and Anaxa unleash devastating burst turns with extra multipliers, more toughness damage, and even wave-carry potential in modes like MOC or Pure Fiction, all without consuming SP or worrying about buff timings.

However, her uptime issues and reliance on Charge buildup make her far less consistent than universal buffers. For players with Phainon or Anaxa, she’s a fantastic investment and can push them to new damage ceilings, but for everyone else, she’s very skippable.
