Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu Build Guide: Best Relics, Light Cone, Team Comps, and more

Build Jingliu to the max potential!

The Version 3.4 update of Honkai: Star Rail has buffed up a previous 5-star character Jingliu. She is an Ice character following the Path of Destruction. This Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu Build Guide will help you get the most out of her new changes of kit by offering a detailed breakdown of her gameplay and recommending the best configurations to optimize her performance.

Jingliu Kit Breakdown

Jingliu from Honkai: Star Rail just got a huge overhaul, and she’s honestly better than ever. Her entire kit has been reworked to scale with HP instead of ATK, which may sound like a big shift, but it’s actually a buff across the board.

Her entire damage kit now scales with HP instead of ATK, this includes her Skill, Enhanced Skill, and Ultimate. Despite smaller percentage numbers, her higher base HP makes it a straight buff to damage overall.

Spectral Transmigration Buff

In her empowered state, instead of gaining ATK, Jingliu now builds CRIT DMG stacks (called Moonlight) when allies take damage or consume HP.

QoL Changes

There are also some big quality-of-life changes to how Syzygy works. It now stacks up to 4 times at base, and Jingliu can also build stacks just by your team taking damage or losing HP twenty times. She doesn’t need constant skill spam anymore to stay in her empowered state, and she can get her Syzygy back faster with the right team setup.

They also buffed her energy generation, so she can use her ultimate more often, which helps in two ways: it now gives her a free Syzygy stack, and it also makes your team lose HP, feeding into that new Syzygy mechanic again.

Ascension 4Unchanged
Ascension 6Whenever Jingliu is at full Syzygy stacks and then gains another stack (which happens through ally HP loss), her next attack will ignore 25% of enemy DEF.

Honkai Star Rail Jingliu Best Relics and Planar Ornaments

Aim for 7000 HP, or 8334 HP if using Mydei’s Light Cone. As for Crit Rate, just aim for 50%, since her kit gives her +50% in Transmigration. Don’t worry about Crit DMG that much since her kit gives alot of Crit DMG, but ideally over 150%. And lastly, 135 Speed and above is ideal for Jingliu.

  • Body: HP%
  • Feet: SPD/HP% (SPD is ideal for a minus-1 turn rotation, but HP% boots can work if you have SPD support)
  • Planar Spear: DMG%/HP%
  • Link Rope: HP%

Relic Set

Scholar Lost in EruditionThis set gives her the DMG% she sorely needs now that she no longer scales with ATK, and it works perfectly with her kit that constantly uses enhanced skills. Most other sets give her stats she doesn’t really need anymore, like extra Crit Rate or ATK, so Scholar is the go-to.
Scholar Lost in Erudition/Longevous DiscipleCan try going for a 2-piece/2-piece set if you don’t have good stats for the 4-piece.

Planar Ornaments

Bone Collections Serene DemesneThe best new planar set is the Bone Set. Even though it gives Crit DMG, it also boosts her HP, which directly raises her damage now.
Rubilent Arena/Firmament Frontline: Glamoth/Inert SalsottoValid options if you don’t have the above set.

Honkai Star Rail Jingliu Best Light Cone

Flame of Blood, Blaze My Path (5*)Her new best-in-slot is now Mydei’s signature light cone. If you can get Jingliu to around 8334+ HP, the LC gives a massive 60% DMG boost to both skills and ultimates, which is a huge increase over what her old signature light cone offers. That, paired with the high HP stat on the cone itself, makes it the strongest option right now.
I Shall Be My Own Sword (5*)This LC is still perfectly fine as well and you definitely don’t need to chase a new limited light cone just to make her work, especially if you already have hers built.
The Unreachable Side (5*)Blade’s light cone is now a viable option, since it’s also HP-focused and now synergizes well with Jingliu’s full HP scaling..
A Secret Vow (4*)/Ninja Record: Sound Hunt (4*)Secret Vow and Sound Hunt are still solid picks. They give decent damage boosts for HP-based characters and are easily accessible compared to the 5-star cones.

Best Team Comps for Jingliu in Honkai Star Rail

Alright, let’s wrap up with Jingliu’s best team comps now that she’s rocking her new HP-scaling kit. She needs support from one advance buffer, one universal amplifier, and one sustain. These roles can be flexible depending on what units you have and how much synergy they offer with her new HP-scaling kit.

Jingliu, Sunday, Tribbie, Hyacine

Advance Buffer

Among advance buffers, Sunday is easily one of her best options. He helps with team SP economy, which is nice even if Jingliu herself doesn’t consume SP during her state. His Crit Rate can be a bit tricky to manage due to how saturated Jingliu already is on Crit stats, and his high Crit DMG buff overlaps with her own buffs, so there’s some redundancy.

Bronya can still be used in this role, especially for players who don’t have Sunday or RMC. While her ATK buffs no longer benefit Jingliu, her ability to advance actions and provide general damage buffs still makes her useful.

Remembrance Trailblazer is another excellent option. They offer unique support through True DMG, which is a completely undiluted multiplier that stacks on top of everything else. They also work beautifully with Hyacine’s light cone, enabling you to keep generating Syzygy stacks without needing Hyacine herself in the team.

Universal Amplifiers

For universal amplifiers, you’ve got a lot of flexibility. Tribbie is especially valuable in Pure Fiction or multi-target content, offering two rarer amplification effects that benefit both the old and new Jingliu.

Cipher plays a similar role but leans more into single-target optimization. She provides strong damage amp control, which helps with clearing within tight cycle limits.

Silver Wolf is another standout, especially when facing off-element enemies or single targets. Her DEF shred and RES reduction make her a top-tier pick for brute-forcing your way through tougher content.

Ruan Mei is still a legendary amplifier for most content and remains a staple for stages like Apocalyptic Shadow.

Sustains

When it comes to sustain, Hyacine stands out as the premier option, especially if she’s holding her S1 light cone. Even without S1, Hyacine offers a great package: small but frequent healing, personal damage, and a Max HP buff that directly helps Jingliu. More importantly, she enables HP drain through passive healing interactions that fuel Syzygy stacks over time.

Another great sustain is Huohuo. While her ATK buff is useless for Jingliu now, she still provides solid team energy regeneration and helps recharge ultimates like Sunday’s, which supports uptime indirectly.

Other abundance healers can work too, especially if they equip Shared Feelings or Quid Pro Quo to help with energy or sustain. Jingliu’s lack of SP consumption gives these sustain units more room to spam their own abilities freely.

Is Jingliu worth pulling in HSR

Jingliu now scales entirely off HP, making her easier to build, and her damage output is stronger and more consistent than before. Her kit has better energy generation, spectral state uptime, and powerful synergy with HP-draining allies like Blade, Huohuo, and Hyacine. She also benefits greatly from the current meta shift toward HP-scaling units and has more team flexibility now. If you want a high-impact hypercarry who doesn’t drain SP and fits into solo teams, Jingliu is a great long-term investment.
