Honkai: Star Rail is introducing the Phase 2 banners, featuring Sparxie, Cerydra, Rappa, and Sparkle in Version 4.0. Once again, HoYoverse released a banner featuring one newly released character and three re-run characters.
I will assess each character’s strengths and qualities in the future meta of the game and advise you on which character to pull from the 4 playable characters. Phase 2 Banners go live on the 6th of March, 2026, and will last until the 26th of March, 2026.
Who should you pull for in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 Phase 2 Banners
Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.
1. Sparxie
Sparxie is a main DPS Fire character who follows the path of Elation. Her kit revolves around consuming and generating Punchline with her skills and Ultimate. Characters who can generate skill points are beneficial for Sparxie.
Sparxie Inflict debuff on enemies and reduce their toughness. She also provides a party-wide CRIT DMG buff for each Punchline stack present. Check our detailed Sparxie Build Guide.
2. Cerydra
Cerydra is a 5-Star Wind Harmony support character in HSR. She is a Wind Harmony unit built to support hypercarries by empowering their attacks with a unique Military Merit buff. This buff grants a strong ATK boost to one ally, based on Cerydra’s own stats, and also lets her deal additional damage whenever that ally attacks.
She builds up Charge points, and once enough are stored, Military Merit upgrades into Peerage, which enhances the ally with CRIT DMG, RES PEN, and the ability to trigger Coup de Main. This special effect copies the ally’s skill and lets them use it twice in a row, opening up huge burst windows with the right characters. She gains massive CRIT DMG based on her ATK, along with free CRIT Rate.
3. Rappa
Rappa is a 5-Star Imaginary Erudition support character. In Honkai: Star Rail, she excels as a Break Damage Dealer, specializing in AoE Imaginary damage and weakening enemies. Her gameplay revolves around breaking enemy defenses with her Imaginary element. She is particularly effective at reducing enemy Toughness, making her valuable for extended fights.
When she breaks an enemy’s Weakness, she triggers additional instances of Imaginary Break damage. That can bounce between enemies, further reducing their Toughness.
4. Sparkle
Sparkle is a support Quantum character who follows the path of Harmony. As Sparkle approaches, she brings along a versatile support kit designed to enhance her teammates who rely on skill-based strategies.
Sparkle is a very useful support for DPS units that consume a lot of Skill Points. She can advance a character’s turn forward. Increase the entire party’s DMG as long as an allied unit consumes a Skill Point and provides a Crit Damage buff.
Final Thoughts
All of their pull values depend on your account and your plan for the upcoming characters in HSR. Sparxie is an excellent DPS, but she heavily relies on Yao Guang and those characters who cangenerate Skill Points like Sparkle.
Between Cerydra and Rappa, pulling for Cerydra is a slightly better choice. She can provide ATK buff for a character, and also gives Crit Damage and Crit Rate for the team. Rappa is a good DPS to pull for her if you need a reliable AoE DPS, multi-enemy battles, or if you lack a strong break-based team.
