Honkai: Star Rail Sparxie Build Guide: Best Relics, Light Cone, Team Comps, and more

The Version 4.0 update of Honkai: Star Rail releases the newest 5-star character, Sparxie. She is a 5-Star Fire Elation main DPS character. This Honkai: Star Rail Sparxie Build Guide will help you maximise her abilities by providing a detailed breakdown of her skills and recommending the optimal configurations to enhance her performance.

Elation Mechanisms and Sparxie Gameplay in Honkai: Star Rail

To understand Yao Guang, we first need to understand the New Elation Path. Here is a quick explanation about the Elation mechanism:

Elation Mechanisms

If you use any Elation character on your team, you will notice mask icons with numbers upon entering combat. One on the skill points bar, one on the action bar, and one near each Elation character’s HP bar. Elation characters can deal extra damage; the action bar shows us when the elation damage mechanism will happen, and we will get extra damage. This mechanism is called Aha Instant.

Only Elation characters can trigger Aha Instant. We can’t buff Aha Instant with characters’ HP, ATK, DEF, and Damage Bonus until any character can convert this main stat into Elation stat. Those mask icons always display a number, and the elation damage depends on it. Those mask icon numbers are known as Punchline numbers. More punchline numbers mean more damage.

Each elation character has their unique Elation skill, and with that, they can provide a buff or deal damage. Every elation character will use their Elation skill in a predetermined order based on their Participant ID, which we can check by tapping their Elation Skill.

After characters use their Elation Skill, the punchline numbers on the skill points bar and on the action bar reset, but each Elation character’s HP bar punchline numbers will increase. When Elation characters’ own Punchline number increases, then they enter a state called Certified Banger. It can buff each of our Elation characters. They last for two turns, but they can stack and have independent durations.

Sparxie Gameplay

Sparxie’s build guide revolves around consuming and generating Punchline with her skills and Ultimate. Characters who can generate skill points are beneficial for Sparxie. Here is a detailed explanation of her Skill, Technique, Ultimate, Talent, Elation Skill, and Passive Skills.

Skill

She start an livestream after using her skill, which is called “Bloom Winner Takes All”. During this period, she farmed Engagement and consumed skill points. It will not end until the skill point reaches zero. During the livestream, she was constantly dealing enhanced basic attack damage, and at the end of the livestream, she dealt a massive Nuke damage with her skill.

The more skill points you have, the more damage she will deal. She will also give you 2 skill points or 2 punchlines.

Technique

After using the technique, she inflicts a state called “Block”. Enemies can’t detect ally characters. If you enter combat after using the technique, enemies hit by a fire attack, whose damage is equal to 50% of the Sparxie attack. Additionally, the team will receive 2 skill points.

Talent

The most important part of her kit is her Talent. It buffs her Skill, Ultimate and her Elation skill damage.

Elation Skill

Inflict debuff on enemies and reduce their toughness. Additionally, deals 55% fire Elation damage to all enemies and deals 20 additional instances of damage to one random enemy. It’s the second most important part of her kit.

Ultimate

She gains 2 Punchline and deals Fire DMG based on Sparxie ATK to all enemies.

Passive Skills

  1. Frenzy! Palette of Truth and Lies:  Provides a party-wide CRIT DMG buff for each Punchline stack present.
  2. Dazzling! Persona Kaleidoscope: Sparxie generate more Punchlines depending on the number of Elation characters in the team.
  3. Sweet! Punchline: Increases Sparxie’s own Elation based on her own ATK. Upto a maximum increase of 80%. This passive activates if your Sparxie has more than 2000 attack. For getting 80% Elation, she needs 3600 ATK.

Best Team Comps for Sparxie in Honkai: Star Rail

Sparxie’s best team comps revolve around Elation-focused teams. She always benefits from those characters who can generate Skill points.

Sparxie/Yao Guang/Sparkle/Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

It’s her best team in Honkai: Star Rail. In this team, Sparxie is our main DPS. During Aha Instant, she unleashes a multi-hit Fire Elation DMG that deals massive damage. Yao Guang is our buffer who will deploy her Zone to increase team Elation damage, generate Punchlines through Basic ATKs and Skills, and trigger Aha Instant with Ultimate. Yao Guang also deals follow-up attacks with her passive.

Sparkle is our second buffer in this team. She provides CRIT DMG buffs, 50% action advance, and recovers 6 Skill Points with her Ultimate. Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is our support in this team, who provides a shield for the team and also deals damage with follow-up attacks.

Sparxie/Yao Guang/Sparkle/Huohuo

Another good team for Sparxie. As with the previous team, Sparxie, Yao Guang, and Sparkle roles are the same in this team too. In this team, Huohuo is our sustain and also provides a buff with her Ultimate. She will heal the whole team and also provide Energy regeneration and ATK buff with her Ultimate.
