League of Legends: Wild Rift: Top 5 tips for rank push

“Luck is no excuse, luck is followed by skills”

As League of Legends: Wild Rift releases its Regional Open Beta Test, many players are having trouble on pushing their rank especially those who transitioned from other mobile MOBA and those who came from League of Legends who never played mobile MOBA before. Here are our top 5 tips to push/climb rank in League of Legends: Wild Rift. Following these we reached Emerald tier in Regional Closed Beta, now it’s your turn.

1. Adjust to a specific role

When you’re the last pick and your team is missing a jungle role, you pick Ashe and go to the jungle with Smite, therefore, you are the jungler right? This is what people usually see in bronze-silver rank. When you adjust to a specific role, make sure you are picking a viable champion for the role. Once, we played with someone who mains Miss Fortune. We were missing a support and she was the last pick and voilà! We got a Miss Fortune support and we ended up losing in 10mins with an overfed Xin Zhao.

2. Master at least 1 hero on your sub-roles

You main mid and someone took your role and picked a mid champion? It’s not a problem if you have at least master 1 hero on each role. You can be flexible as you expand your comfort champions with your knowledge and experience you gain through each game. You can see a representation of what I mean below.

3. Never hesitate to add someone who played really well

As we mostly played solo climbing to Gold rank, we started adding friends who did really well in a particular game. You don’t play jungle and you lost against someone who played a God-tier jungle? Add him, he might accept your invitation and you can play duo with him and see if you two get a good connection with each other.

4. Take breaks in between matches

This is very important, even if it sounds cliche. Ever played a game where you feel like your brain is not really working and you’re just there tapping, aiming and everything you throw misses? That might be a sign to take a break. If you’re having a 5 losing streak and you tell yourself that if you get a win you’ll sleep, trust me, just do it later on or tomorrow. If you’re having good games and you feel a bit dry and drowsy, always drink water. Take a break!

5. Have a positive attitude

Your team is feeding and you want to surrender already because your team is doing bad? Don’t! You never know when your enemy team will get disconnected! Jokes aside, stop being toxic. As someone who is competitive on games, one of my attitudes is I don’t usually blame my teammate if he’s doing bad or when we’re losing. Always focus on yourself on finding a way to win. If you lose? Always ask yourself “where did I go wrong? What fights did I force to lose that game?” Find your mistakes and learn from them. We always tell ourselves that if we lose, it’s because the enemy team did better than us and we need to become better so we can carry our team. Always watch your replays (when it becomes available) and have a post-game analysis where you point out your mistakes.

We hope you can use these tips to push your rank in Wild Rift. It’s never too late to accept your faults and improve. Good luck!
