Phase 1 Banners will go live on the 4th of December, 2024 after the update maintenance is complete and will last till the 25th of December, 2024.
Why should you go for Sunday in HSR version 2.7
Honkai: Star Rail releases the new 5-Star Imaginary Harmony character Sunday and re-running Jing Yuan during the second phase of Version 2.7. Sunday’s kit is made as a support unit with unique abilities to buff allies, particularly those with summoning capabilities like Jing Yuan.
- Allows an ally (and their summon) to take action immediately, boosting their damage significantly. This makes him perfect for teams that rely on quick burst setups or summoners.
- Grants energy regeneration and applies the “Beatified” state to an ally, increasing their Crit Damage and ensuring powerful attacks for a few turns. Boosts Crit Rate of the ally his Skill targets, enhancing their overall damage consistency.
- Provides a pre-battle buff that increases the damage of all allies and their summons.
- Sunday has abilities to regenerate energy for himself and teammates, allowing teams to cycle Ultimates efficiently.
- He excels in hyper-carry or summoner-focused teams by amplifying their damage potential and ensuring quicker action cycles.
Why should you go for Jing Yuan in HSR version 2.7
Jing Yuan, is a 5-star Lightning Erudition character that excels as a powerful AoE damage dealer. His kit is centered around summoning and enhancing a unique entity called the Lightning-Lord, which delivers devastating follow-up attacks.
- Jing Yuan excels in battles with multiple enemies, making him invaluable in content like Simulated Universe and events with wave-based combat.
- His synergy with the Lightning-Lord allows for a mix of strategic setup and high sustained damage.
- His damage potential is enhanced by proper relics, Light Cones, and team compositions, with critical hits boosting his performance significantly.
- He pairs well with support characters like Bronya and Tingyun to boost his damage, or healers/shielders.
Who should you pull for Sunday or Jing Yuan in HSR version 2.7
Jing Yuan was a powerful character in the early days of the game. However now as more end-game content is being added and new characters with different and unique kits are released, Jing Yuan’s usability decreased significantly. It is difficult to use him in end-game content clear-ups. That is until Sunday is being introduced.
Sunday significantly synergies well with Jing Yuan as he is a Harmony unit focused mainly on buffing summoner damage. If you are a Jing Yuan user, you should pull for Sunday as he significantly improves his damage and kit. The same goes for Sunday, a unit that will be utilized the most with Jing Yuan. Of course, since Sunday is a Harmony unit his usage in the game’s endgame content will last longer. If you want a support that buffs summoners, follow-up attacks, and crit then Sunday is a must-pull.
Final Thoughts
Honkai: Star Rail introducing Sunday and Jing Yuan during Phase 1 in Version 2.7 is diabolical both units synergies so well with one another. It is to the point that it would be a shame to get one and not pull for the other unit. Sunday is still a new character and we have yet to see his true potential until he officially releases and gets tried out with the roster of playable characters. As for Jing Yuan, unless you have Sunday, it is not worth pulling for the sleepy General.
