The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is the new open-world action RPG from Netmarble, where you go on a new adventure set across the beloved universe of Seven Deadly Sins. In this The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Tier List, I will rank the weapons and give details on which weapon to get and invest resources in.
While you start your journey in Liones, you can also check the Twitch drop event and learn how to claim rewards like Gold, Regular Hero Draw Ticket, and claim a great number of rewards from our redeem codes article. See what launch rewards you will be getting here. If you don’t get anyone from our character tier list, you can try our reroll guide to get the character you want.
Ranking the weapons based on gameplay
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’ gameplay is similar to Genshin Impact’s open world and Arknights: Endfield’s tag-like combo system of combat. In the game, you make a team of 4 different characters. Each has different elemental attributes and classes. The game works on the rock, paper, scissors logic with all 8 elements in the game currently.
But there’s a big caveat and major difference to stand out from the competition. In Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, every character can equip 3 different types of weapons. And each of these weapon types can get your character archetype changed, from DPS to Healer or Tank to DPS, depending on the weapon type.

For example, I can have King be a healer or a DPS depending on which type of weapon you set him up for. There are two types of character tiers: a 5-star and a 4-star. Weapons have 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star variants. Make sure you have your character leveled up to unlock the weapon equipping system.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Weapons Tier List
My tier list will be based on the Global Server, with all weapons added at launch so far, including craftable ones. The tier list will have 4 categories to work with: S, A, B, and D.
I will add them under their naming sets and sole weapons category to make it easier for new players to understand how they can synergise with gear sets and elements. I have put short names for the weapons class as well. GS for Great Sword, DS for Dual Sword, A for Axe, LS for Long Sword, and W for Wand.
| Tiers | Weapon Sets | Sole Weapon |
|---|---|---|
| Strong (S) | Black Flame Wings Set | Indomitable Guard GS, Gluttonous Soul LS, Eternal Grace DS, Ruler of the Forest A, Razorwind W |
| Good (A) | Jet-Black Set, Crimson Flame Set, Blazing Set | Dark Clouds Enhancement Staff, Melody of Temptation Grimoire, Dead Spirit’s Breath Nunchaku |
| Average (B) | Guardian’s Set, Corrupted Will Set, Artisan’s Fine Set, Adventurer’s Set | Chaos Song Rapier, Corrupted Will Gauntlets, Unyielding Spirit Lance |
| Bad (C) | Pursuer Set, Blessed Set | NA |
Best S-tier Weapons in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Overview
Black Flame Wings Set

The Black Flame Wings Set is the go-to set for making DPS builds. No matter which character you’re using as your primary DPS character, you’ll find something for them to use from the Black Flame Wing Weapons set. Your attack and crit rate skyrocket when you activate a burst with these weapons, so any character can be a good damage-dealer with them.
Indomitable Guard for Greatsword
The Indomitable Guard, as the name suggests, is the best weapon for blocking. If you’ve gotten the hang of blocking with your weapons in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, the Indominable Guard Greatsword is a great way to ensure you’re doing it the best. Your character’s hitting a low HP will kick in its extra effect, too, which will improve your rate of blocking exponentially.
Gluttonous Soul for Longsword

The Gluttonous Soul is one of the first weapons you should scale and improve when you get your hands on it, since it doubles down on how much Darkness damage you’re able to do. These effects stack, too, so it’s easy to work around on itself and deal some really heavy blows.
Eternal Grace for Dual Swords
Eternal Grace is a great set for survival units. Any character using the Eternal Grace Dual Swords will be solid when it comes to endurance and sustain in battle. You’ll see a sharp increase in your healing efficiency when your character has low HP as well, making it both offensively and defensively sound.
Ruler of the Forest for Axe

The Ruler of the Forest is a great set for DPS, but only in the Axe class. Characters looking for a heavy base attack with a sharp boost to Earth Attacks should consider crafting the Ruler of the Forest Axe as soon as they’re able.
Razorwind for Wand
Razorwind is a great Wind elemental wand for DPS. You’ll find plenty of characters able to make use of the steep increase to the attack stat outright, as well as a nice addition to the damage done by Wind Attacks, making this a great choice for any character who’s able to use such elements.

Final Thoughts
The current meta is heavily centered around the game’s new characters, who are designed with explosive kits and high-scaling damage potential, but often require very specific SSR-star weapons to reach their full strength. This shift in design emphasizes more specialized teams, where running a character without their “intended” weapon significantly reduces their effectiveness
