Every subject residing in your castle has specific traits. Traits determine their productivity, proficiency at different work, and their nature. So follow our guide to get the best idea about all the traits and their standings in terms of productivity, better relationships, better chances to win battles in The Elder Scrolls: Castles
List of different Traits in The Elder Scrolls: Castles
In the Elder Scrolls: Castles, your subjects can have various traits that determine their productivity, chances to win battles, relationships with other subjects, and nature. Good traits are important for the efficient running of your castle.
They are key to increasing the production rate of resources such as Wood, Oil, Food, and other important resources. They also give you better odds to win during battles. Your subjects with good traits also maintain their relationships well. Here is the tier list for Good Traits:
1. Leader
Leader trait is the best trait out there according to me. Having a subject with the leader trait in each of your resource production stations is very advantageous. Subjects with leader traits randomly activate a potion of speed for free.
The leader trait rallies co-workers to work faster, and their happiness aligns with others over time. So if you have subjects who are unhappy, assign them to work in a station with a subject with a leader trait and you will notice their mood will change for good.
2. Mighty
Mighty Trait comes in handy during an eclipse. Subjects with mighty traits increase productivity at the Oil Press and Smithy. During an eclipse, you need a lot of oil to run the castle and the kingdom smoothly.
So assigning subjects with the mighty trait to the Oil Press is very crucial. Mighty is also good for fighting with melee weapons.
3. Tribal
Tribal Trait is quite useful if used strategically. Subjects with tribal traits work and fight better around other family members. So you have to assign them strategically for work for maximum productivity in work and questing.
4. Considerate
You will need subjects with considerate traits in the kingdom. Food is crucial for the survival of your subjects. Subjects with considerate traits improve productivity in the Kitchen and Loom. They are also best to be used with the staff of thorns.
5. Perceptive
Perceptive trait improves productivity at the Mill and Sewing table. You obtain wood and limestones from the mill that is used to construct most of the production stations and renovate the castle. Subjects with perspective traits are also good at fighting with the bow.
6. Pyromaniac
Pyromaniac trait also improves productivity in the Kitchen along with Smithy and Furnace. You can assign them strategically in stations with subjects with considerate traits for better productivity. They are also good at fighting with fire staff and have good fire abilities.
7. Headstrong
Headstrong are good with shields during battle. You can use them for defense without any worry. The headstrong trait also improves productivity at Smithy and Workshop. Your subjects need equipment such as weapons and tools for better productivity and winning chances during battles.
8. Enduring
Enduring trait is best for your ruler since you get a lot of gems as a bonus if you can keep your ruler alive for a long time. Take good decisions so that your ruler doesn’t get assassinated. Gems are very important in-game and cost a lot of real money if you opt for microtransactions.
9. Volatile
Volatile trait is good only for questing. Subjects with volatile traits are good at fighting using shock staff and abilities. They don’t improve the productivity of any resource stations so it’s best you assign them to the War Room only.
10. Bossy
The Bossy trait is like a double-edged sword. Subjects with bossy traits increase production as they boss around other subjects, making them more efficient. But this also makes other subjects miserable.
Bossy subjects are only worth it if you assign them to resource stations with three volatile subjects for maximum synergy.
Final Thoughts
Traits of your Ruler are important to consider as a Ruler’s traits affect all subjects residing in the castle. For example, a Perceptive Ruler will improve all your subjects’ productivity at the Mill and Sewing Table. It’s also important that you breed subjects with good traits together.
Although it is based on RNG you still have a chance to improve the gene pool. Remember, making good decisions and breeding subjects with good traits together will lead you to have a pleasant gaming experience.
