Genshin Impact doesn’t hold back in rich mythology, and players uncover intriguing bits of knowledge strewn about Teyvat. Players can discover fascinating world-building techniques in various sections of the world while encountering multiple regions with diverse civilizations like in the real world. When exploring the backstory in Genshin Impact, players will come across several characters as in Bosacius. For example, Liyue has a long connection with Rex Lapis and the Yakshas.
Bosacius and his role in Genshin Impact
Teyvat was filled with hostility and miasma after the Archon wars, which gave rise to demons. During this difficulty, Rex Lapis called Yaksha to help him fight the Demons. Bosacius is one of the Adeptus that Rex Lapis summoned. He was one of the ‘Yakshas,’ a race of luminous creatures with a beastly appearance and a warrior’s disposition.
A tale teaser was presented on Genshin Impact’s official YouTube page, in which players are introduced to the Yakshas and learn why Rex Lapis summoned them. Five Yakshas, including Bosacius, were considered the strongest among the rest of the Yakshas.

- Indarias
- Menogias
- Alatus
The five Yakshas used five elements: Pyro, Hydro, Geo, Electro, and Anemo. Except for Alatus, an Anemo figure named Xiao, there is very little information regarding whatever element Yaksha utilized. The tale teaser also depicts how the Yakshas gradually succumbed to dread and lunacy after millennia of battle, with some turning on one another.
Three Yaskhas died, the fourth fled without a trace, and the sole remaining Yaksha is the demon conqueror. Bosacius, burdened by his karmic obligation, millennia of fighting demons, and a struggle to save their sanity, abandoned their treasure and vanished.
Aside from the plot teaser, the quest item ‘Yaksha: The Guardian Adepti’ and a World Quest named ‘Yaksha’s Wish’ provide further information. World Quests discuss Bosacius’ intention to vanish from this world and how they have left their riches for anybody looking for it.
What do the 2.7 patch leaks say about Bosacius
Leaks about the impending material in the next 2.7 releases have recently resurfaced on Twitter. Genshin Intel, a well-known leaker in the community, sent a tweet with a screenshot showing the future 2.7 patches.
Bosacius is listed in that summary, but no further information is provided. There’s a potential that players will encounter them on their journeys and that Bosacius will appear on the banners as a playable character in the future.
