AFK Journey brings Waves of Intrigue season, which is the biggest content update so far. The new features new characters, game modes, maps, and several other elements to make the community tremble in excitement. The update is available in-game from the 19th of September 2024.
AFK Journey Waves of Intrigue Season: Key Highlights
To get the new update, there’s a condition. If you’re in Resonance Level of 240 or above can enjoy the new update anytime. If you are above the level, you will get a fresh start at level 240. When the season ends, all seasonal progress – including season Resonance Level, season equipment, season artifacts, and season magic charms – will be converted into Epic Invite Letters and Temporal Essence.
You’ll enjoy Rustport where the battle between the gangs, the Carmine Whispers and the Water Wights will take you on a mystery adventure.
New Map: Stormy Strait
Not only this Stormy Strait being added to the game but it also brings two new mechanics: sailing and fishing. You can now explore the map via ship and seek out treasure hidden beneath the waves. Besides, there will be fun fishing mini-games at fishing locations spread across the world. Moreover, a stealth feature will also come into the game, allowing you to navigate enemy camps without being caught.
New Game Mode: Heroic Gauntlet and Peaks of Time
Heroic Gauntlet will add a new roguelike wrinkle to gameplay. On the other hand, Peaks of Time will allow you to experience the previous Song of Strife season content. You will able to further customize your party and prioritize certain factions depending on your preferences.
New characters
With the arrival of this new season, the game introduces three new characters. You can use Rate Up Recruitment to call Sinbad and Nara while Dunlingr will be accessible by using Stargaze Station.
- Nara: A Graveborn rogue and member of the Water Wights.
- Sinbad: A trusty Lightbearer rogue.
- Dunlingr: A powerful new Celestial.
Followed by the previous update, Song of Strife, which was released in May, the new update appears after 4 months. While the new season brings these exciting elements into the game, Farlight Games promises to bring such updates every 4 months. Thus, you don’t need to feel dull at all rather a rush will always keep tracking you to keep up with the game.
