Among Us Emergency Meeting #32 Dev log: New roles are coming in the next update

Server issues have been solved, will be up and running soon!

Innersloth has revealed some major details regarding the upcoming updates in Among Us and also provided a reason for the server issues that prevented players from playing the game. Moreover in Emergency Meeting #32 Dev log, Innersloth has also revealed some new roles which will be coming in the next upcoming update of Among Us.

According to a blog post, their official Among Us dev log is titled Emergency Meeting #32. They dealt with the server issues first and revealed that the problems were actually caused deliberately by someone who was willing to shell out a lot of money to DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) their servers by overwhelming their data centers. This prevented players from playing the game from around the 20th of last month. Technicians at Innersloth’s end are doing their best to bring everything back to normal as fast as possible.

New roles are making their way to the game

A while ago, Among Us got a new game mode (Hide and Seek) and 2 new roles in the form of Sheriff and the Doctor. Although now, they will be adding more roles to the game. The exact number of roles being added isn’t clear as of now, but it could be a minimum of 2 or maybe even up to 4. There are no exact details yet regarding the release date of the new update either. Although, it’ll be free for all platforms and the main focus is on the new roles. Another thing to note is that players can already add certain roles to the game with help from different mods.
