Pre-registration for Angry Birds Journey, a new entry into the Angry Birds lineup, is open for Android users with a release schedule in early 2022! Angry Birds Journey reintroduces casual puzzle levels with slingshot action. The game takes the classic mechanisms that are being used for years at this point by Rovio Entertainment in a bunch of their Angry Birds games however a bunch of new features and elements have been thrown in this game.
Update: From the official Red the Angry Bird Twitter account, the release date for Angry Birds Journey has been confirmed as January 20, 2022.
Angry Birds Journey: Old gold molten in new frame
The game is actually a rebranded version of Angry Birds Casual that was launched and discontinued in 2020 in order to relaunch the game again under a new name. The game was earlier released in the US, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, and Poland in a soft launch phase but it seems like a global release isn’t too far off at this point as Rovio Entertainment confirmed on the official Linkedin page.
Angry Bird Journey’s soft launch version performed alright with the only issues being the way Rovio monetizes the game with the stamina system so if Rovio actually worked on making the game better in that aspect, Angry Birds Journey could be a pretty fun title that could provide hours of fun gameplay. Take on the Pigs and save your hatchlings
Players have to clear a bunch of different levels as they take on the Pigs by demolishing their towers and saving the Hatchlings with their birds that have special abilities when launched at the pigs’ bases.
The game is going to be a free title with in-app purchases and pre-registration on the Google Play Store is open worldwide. However, Apple users will still have to wait though but the game will probably release soon on both platforms. Meanwhile, you can always check the official website.
