Animoca Brands, a company that promotes digital property rights in gaming and the metaverse, has acquired independent game developer Grease Monkey Games. Grease Monkey Games, the creators of Torque Burnout and Torque Drift, is working on the next major motorsport game.
Grease Monkey Games, founded in 2013 by Arran Potter, a veteran of the video visual effects industry, is a Melbourne-based producer of high-quality motorsports games.
Grease Monkey Games experienced in developing AAA gaming titles
Grease Monkey Games brings significant game production capabilities and knowledge to Animoca Brands, with extensive experience in racing game development and solid industry partnerships across motorsports and automotive manufacturing.

Its mobile and PC games have been downloaded 45 million times and are adored by motorsports lovers all around the world. A huge cross-platform racing game created in Unreal Engine 5 is in the works and will be announced soon.
