Ashfall: The new adventure shooter MMORPG set to release on mobile devices in 2023

A dangerous post-apocalyptic world open to imagination and exploration!

Legendary Star Studio, a team with extensive experience in the FPS and RPG gameplay genres, has announced Ashfall, a new post-apocalyptic adventure shooter MMORPG set to release in 2023 for PC, and mobile, which include both Android and iOS devices. Ashfall made its debut with an explosive trailer at the Tokyo Game Show 2022. It followed an in-depth deep dive into its gameplay in a presentation during the IGN Showcase live stream, providing gamers worldwide with an extensive first look at Ashfall.

Assume roles as Wanderers and soldiers to explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland in Ashfall

Ashfall takes place in a post-apocalyptic world scorched by nuclear war, as humanity’s greatest creation once turned against them. The war was caused by a vast artificial intelligence that betrayed humanity and attempted to wipe out all life on Earth except the robots. However, humanity survived, and the last humans established pockets of civilization among the ruins of their former glory.

Natural resources are dwindling, and the last remnants of humanity compete for supplies. But all is not lost, as rumours of the Core of Creation, which may be able to heal the shattered land, persist. The players assume the role of Wanderers, soldiers, and explorers tasked with leaving the safety of their Vault and exploring dangerous lands in search of mankind’s salvation.

Rebuild civilization to reclaim the wasteland and use team tactics to defeat enemies

Ashfall is a third-person adventure shooter that will release on mobile devices. It emphasizes the use of cover and team tactics to defeat enemies. The game’s goal is to rebuild civilization and reclaim the wasteland, but this will not be an easy task. Not only is the land dangerous to explore, but many enemies now live in the ruins of society, such as bands of raiders, murderous war machines, and packs of mutated animals.

Combat is only one aspect of Ashfall. A vast world is waiting to be explored, full of loot for players to find and secrets to learn about the previous society. There are numerous quests for players to complete. There are also colorful NPCs who live in the world of Ashfall and are waiting to be encountered.

Create your characters and play Ashfall in both single and multiplayer mode on its release on mobile

In Ashfall, the player creates their Wanderer from a plethora of options in the character creation mode. It is followed by equipping them with a plethora of futuristic guns and gear that they will require for the trials ahead. There are numerous potential character builds that players can customize to their gameplay style.

Players can also customize powerful equipment that they can salvage to give them a competitive advantage. The combat involves the player using cover and the environment to their advantage as they face off against a variety of different foes.

The most powerful of these can be confronted in thrilling boss battles. These battles range from giant beasts to elite solo enemies with skills that match the player’s own. Fortunately, players will not have to face these challenges alone, as Ashfall features both single and multiplayer modes. This allows groups of friends to explore the wasteland and take on the challenges as a team.

The creators of Ashfall are huge fans of post-apocalyptic games, particularly the Fallout series, and they were inspired by some of the genre’s biggest names. The team was able to add an Eastern flavour to the game’s aesthetics with Ashfall. Eastern imagery is frequently associated with the cyberpunk genre and is rarely seen in post-apocalyptic fiction. Ashfall has the rare opportunity to create something unique to the post-apocalyptic genre while remaining familiar.

To help bring the wasteland and its denizens to life, the developers have gone to great lengths to create a visually stunning world. The game is complete with realistic weather effects, motion-captured actors for character animations, realistic glass-shattering effects, and advanced lighting and reflections.

Ashfall’s music features loneliness and danger of the end of civilization while also stirring when adventure arises

For Ashfall’s wasteland to be truly immersive, the world must also sound the part. The music of Ashfall must evoke the loneliness and danger of the end of civilization while also stirring when adventure arises. To that end, Ashfall has assembled a band of world-class musicians, including Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Dune, Dunkirk, No Time to Die, Gladiator), Inon Zur (Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age Origins), and Steve Mazzaro (No Time to Die, Army of Thieves, The Amazing Spider-Man 2). This team has a fantastic pedigree. Few lineups are better suited to bringing the world of Ashfall to life than these men.

At the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Legendary Star Studios gave the world its first taste of Ashfall, but it won’t be the last. The team is planning multiple betas to allow players to shape the world of Ashfall before the game’s release on both platforms, PC and Mobile. Those who want to be among the first to experience Ashfall’s mysteries should wishlist the game on Steam. They can also follow the game’s official social media channels to stay up to date on Ashfall and be made aware of when it finally launches.
