Campfire: The new social app from Niantic is now available globally with the new Team Up feature

Developers of Pokemon GO and Pikmin Bloom are here with a new social app!

Niantic is an American game development company based out of San Francisco that has developed the hit AR game Pokemon GO. The developers have created a lot of popular games some of which are IngressPokémon GOHarry Potter: Wizards Unite, and most recently Pikmin Bloom. And now, Niantic has begun rolling out Campfire for all the Pokémon GO players globally. Campfire allows users to chat, notify other Trainers in the area, and group up for Raids which includes even Remote Raids.

Trainers can use the Team Up feature to join the raids in Campfire

Local and faraway Raid Battles are simple to locate because to campfire. The easiest way to visit Campfire and see all the Raid Battles and Flare activity nearby is to hit the green map symbol on Pokémon GO’s in-game map, which is located close to its rightmost corner.

Trainers can now use the brand-new Team Up function to either host or participate in Raids. At least in this version of Campfire, Team Up is blind for raid hunters, but it is a tried and true method of locating local players to play together.

Along with bringing Campfire for the Pokemon GO trainers, Niantic is also launching the Team Up feature as well in the app, which connects trainers with other trainers in the area to form a team and take on Raid Battles. This will make finding and joining Raids even easier. During the forthcoming Squirtle Community Day event on July 9, Trainers can also use Campfire to locate nearby communities.

Trainers can decide to host or join a raid using the menu or the map view once they’ve accessed the Team Up menu. Trainers can view nearby raids to host or participate after choosing an option and can utilize Team Up as the Raid Battle’s host to form a group with up to five other nearby Trainers. After that, they won’t need to leave the group to be asked to add those Trainers as friends. Furthermore, they can return to the game to ask their new friends to join the raid after adding them as friends.

Moreover, Team Up allows trainers to participate in raids without hosting them. Simply selecting the “Join a raid” option, and a host and other Trainers will be matched up for them so that they may all enter the raid together. Trainers may even coordinate with the Trainers in their group using Team Up by sending them pre-set messages.
