Made by the new Shanghai-based Studio, Clash Mini is one of the latest game announcements made by Supercell earlier today. Clash Quest, Clash Mini and Clash Heroes are the 3 brand new games in development currently and Supercell wanted to showcase them in front of the Clash community. We have already published in-depth articles based on Clash Quest and Clash Heroes and now we’ll take a look at the third game, Clash Mini focusing on gameplay mechanism, characters and global release date.
What is Clash Mini
In Clash Mini, players compete with each other and use strategy to place their miniatures or “minis” on the playing board at the same time. After that, the minis engage in fights. These cute-looking minis are inspired by characters who are already a part of the Clash Universe, in Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. Fan, Game lead and Game designer of Clash Mini, pointed out that the game is intended for everyone to play.
The casual gameplay is intended to be light-hearted, accessible but also having lots of depth. Instead of focusing on real-time controls, more attention is being paid to the use of tactics and strategy. The Twitter user described it as a strategy game where you don’t need to sweat, a comment which the official Clash Mini account liked.
Gameplay Features
In the early gameplay footage for Clash Mini, a lot of the main gameplay was up for display. We could observe these minis being placed into the playing area, which was divided in two and further into blocks. With the onset of the battle, each mini fights until their health are diminished. Each mini seemed to have an attack range, special behaviour and abilities.

Majorly filled with the Clash characters, Supercell aims to add some brand new characters to the Clash Mini roster. From the early gameplay footage, the miniatures of the following characters are confirmed.
- Archer
- Barbarian
- Wizard
- Mini Pekka
- Wall Breaker
Also, don’t be fooled by the adorable miniatures! They are all going to offer a challenge and you really need to think about your moves.
Clash Mini global release date
Clash Mini is still in early development and changes can be added. Looking at Supercell’s previous game releases, the game will soft-launch in limited regions first. Depending on the quality standards and feedbacks, the developers will set a global release date. We don’t have a release date yet, you can keep up with the development at Clash Mini’s official Twitter and Instagram. Once we get to know the release date of Clash Mini, we’ll make sure to update this space.
How to play Clash Mini now
Clash Mini is yet to soft-launch. Currently, there are no ways a player can download and play Clash Mini. There are high chances that Supercell would start the regional beta soon. With the start of the regional beta, players can download and play Clash Mini. Until then, players can head over to the official website and carry out the pre-registration. Only a few selected players would get the chance to participate in the beta.
