The change had to come at some point and after four days since the September 2024 Gold Pass arrived, we finally see a positive announcement. Clash of Clans has confirmed that it will be reverting the September 2024 Gold Pass reward to Hero skin, and will now bring the Grand Warden TableTopRPG skin.

Earlier this season, Supercell announced this sudden change of introducing a new cosmetic item on its premium track, which they cited the reason as “accessible and usable by all players”. Of course, this was a horrible move from their end and received significant community feedback regarding the removal of the Hero skin from the Gold Pass in favour of the Decisive Dice Decoration.
In response, Clash of Clans acknowledged the complaints players had, particularly with Decoration storage being of no extra value and having the same price as the previous pass. Listening to their community, Supercell decided to revert the change, reintroducing the Hero skin to the September Gold Pass as the TTRPG Grand Warden skin will now be available at the end of the premium track.
Following the announcement, players had positive reactions to Supercell’s decision to revert the change in the Gold Pass. Many expressed relief and appreciation for the makers listening to their feedback, with some praising the decision as the “correct response“ and others noting how rare it is for a game developer to respond and make the changes according to the community’s wishes.
Additionally, Gold Passes in the following months will continue to feature exclusive seasonal skins. Supercell also mentioned that it will communicate any future changes to the Gold Pass in advance and engage in a more transparent discussion with players. As a gesture of goodwill, they will be adding 20 Starry Ores to everyone on the free track of the Gold Pass.
