Clash of Clans is closing in on its 11th anniversary in August of 2023, that is, this year. Last year, Clash of Clans celebrated a decade of its release, a decade that has been marked by worldwide success and has since attained a cult status among gamers. This year, Supercell is not planning to come up short as they have already released pre-registrations for the Clash of Clans Builder Base 2.0 update in the Chinese region.
The 2.0 update could bring the much-needed change to CoC Builder Base
Ahead of its 11-year anniversary of being out there in the gaming market, Clash of Clans has announced on KakaoTalk that it will be first testing out the changes the developers have planned for the game in an exclusive version of the game that players will be able to access in China by pre-registering for the said version.
In this planned Builder Base 2.0 update, the Base will be divided into two stages, and players will receive the damage percentage and stars independently for each of the two. Such that, the players will be able to rack up up to 200% damage and earn up to 6 stars from a single attack.
Also, it is imperative to know that while scouting for bases to attack, players will only be able to see the first stage of the base, and will therefore have to plan ahead to take on both stages of a base.
There will also be new levels for buildings in order to keep the grind of those players intact who have done pretty much all there is to do in the Builder Base. The cost of upgrades and their durations will be reduced as well to facilitate the players and make the game less time-consuming.
The Clash Universe is ever expanding as it has been made clear by those at the helm of all the development at Supercell, which is very much a positive thing for those who consume Clash Universe media. Therefore, Supercell is planning to make its 11th anniversary special as well and give players an incentive to keep on playing the game.
