It’s another exciting year for Clash Royale fans as the game gears up to celebrate its 6th year anniversary. It’s been an immensely successful 6 years for Clash Royale and the developers themselves have acknowledged the role fans have played in the game’s success by announcing they will be distributing free rewards to the players.
Clash Royale to celebrate its successful 6 years with exciting rewards for the players
Clash Royale was first released on 2nd March 2016, following the footsteps of the immensely successful Clash of Clans which was also developed by Finnish company Supercell. The game was considered to be a spin-off title set in the Clash of Clans universe and it is the first and only spin-off title released so far. Three more, Clash Quest, Clash Minis, and Clash Heroes were announced in April 2021 but are yet to be released so far.
While both Clash Royale and Clash of Clans are real-time strategy games, the gameplay in both games is quite different as players found out during the launch of Clash Royale six years ago. The game received immensely positive reviews, amassing an aggregate score of 86/100 on Metacritic. It was also a huge commercial success and cemented Supercell’s position as one of the best developers in the mobile game industry.
To celebrate Clash Royale’s 6th birthday, Supercell announced that they would be giving away free rewards to players. The first of such rewards is a free in-game emote which can be claimed by players right away. Bigger rewards are expected to follow although the developers have remained quiet about any further details for now. For now, fans can only speculate on what the rewards may be although given supercell’s track record one can expect to remain optimistic.
