Clash Royale must be obsessed with goblins as yet another season has arrived, following suit the Season 61 theme of ‘Industrious Goblins’. The Goblin theme is back again, titled ‘Goblin Bonanza’, which has one more Card Evolution for the Goblin family of cards. So, let me provide you with a glimpse of what the Clash Royale Season 62 August 2024 Update has in store regarding new skins, emotes, rewards, and other additions.
Clash Royale Season 62 August 2024 Update Overview
New Card: Suspicious Bush
Although introduced as part of the last update, this is a card to look at. Coming as a Rare card for 2 Elixir, the Suspicious Bush introduces a unique mechanic. When it reaches its target building or is destroyed by a spell, it triggers its Bush Goblins ability, which surprises the enemy with a group of Goblins. The movement being slow might not interest a few players.
New Card Evolution: Goblin Cage
We have one new evolution with the Goblin Cage. Retaining the same health and damage as its normal form, it introduces a unique ability called Cage Pull. When ground troops get within 3 tiles of the cage, it triggers its ability, which pulls them inside and deals damage over time until either the enemy or the cage is destroyed. This evolution activates every second cycle.
New Tower Skins
Coming to cosmetics, in this update, we have one new Tower Skin that has been officially confirmed for the Pass Royale. The season-themed Tiki Tower skin is unlocked once players have reached Tier 48 of the Gold Tier in the Pass Royale. Another skin is expected as part of the Special Event named Target Dummy.
Emotes and Banners
Once again, following the pattern of previous updates, five new emotes will be coming, including via promotional, purchase, and Path of Legends. These new emotes will be based on mixed themes. Speaking of Banners, we will have 1 Banner for Diamond Pass Royale owners, 4 in the Banner Box, and 1 from the Season Shop.
Season Shop, Card Boosts, and Offers
The Season Shop will again present a generous array of rewards available for exchange with season tokens. In addition to the cards available, banners and emotes stand out as valuable investments. Just like last time, we will have eight cards available in the shop.
Among them are Spear Goblins, Dart Goblin, Skeleton Barrel, Baby Dragon, Goblin Cage, and Hunter, each priced at 500 tokens for a set of 100 or 25 cards depending on the rarity. Additionally, the Legendary cards Fisherman, and Miner cards are available, each costing 1500 tokens for a set of 1 card.
Card Evolution enthusiasts can find Ice Spirit Shards in the Season Shop. We have four cards picked for a boost this time, featuring Goblin Cage, Dart Goblin, Miner, and Baby Dragon, with a Magic Coin for 10000 tokens and Wild Shards for 6000 tokens.
Clash Royale August 2024 Balance Update
As expected, the balanced update is here. Let us see the changes.
Buffs
Cannon Cart
- Shielded Cannon Hit Speed: 1 sec → 0.9 sec (-10%)
The hit speed of the Shielded Cannon is buffed to make Cannon Cart more viable.
Electro Wizard
- Deploy Damage Radius: 2.5 → 3 (+20%)
This increase in deploy radius adds power and usability to Electro Wizard’s deploy ability.
Goblin Machine
- Rocket Hit Speed: 4 sec → 3.5 sec (-13%)
The Rocket’s hit speed is buffed to increase Goblin Machine’s consistency.
Hunter
- Hit Points: 838 → 884 (+6%)
Hunter’s Hit Points are increased to make it less vulnerable to melee troops.
Ice Wizard
- Attack Splash Radius: 1 → 1.5 (+50%)
The splash radius is increased to enhance Ice Wizard’s effectiveness.
Nerfs
Arrows
- Crown Tower Damage: 111 → 93 (-16%)
Crown Tower Damage is reduced to make Arrows less impactful.
Goblin Drill Evolution
Removed extra Goblin spawn from 2nd submerge
One Goblin is removed to reduce guaranteed Crown Tower damage from Drill Evolution.
Skeleton Dragons
- Hit Points: 563 → 560 (>1%)
This adjustment ensures Wizard always takes two hits to destroy Skeleton Dragons.
Rework
Wizard
- Hit Points: 720 → 754 (+5%)
- Shield HP (Evo): 296 → 190 (-36%)
Wizard Evolution was too strong on defense, so the Shield is being reduced to be countered by small spells. Wizard’s base HP is increased to survive Poison.
Void
- Damage (1 target): 544 → 472 (-13%)
- Damage (5+ targets): 48 → 76 (+58%)
Void’s damage is balanced to be less effective against high-cost troops and better against swarms.
