GodLike Esports disbanded its COD Mobile roster and acquires ex-Team Insidious roster

The popular Indian Esports organisation was quick to act!

In what is a shock move, Indian esports organization GodLike Esports, popularly known as GodL has disbanded their COD Mobile roster within less than a year of recruiting them. The roster consisting of Dante, Vortex, Prizzm, Randomm, and Lezra is without an organization as of now but given their status in the COD Mobile scene, they are bound to be picked up sooner or later.

Recent achievements of the GodLike COD Mobile roster

The lineup, lauded to be one of the best in India, has had its fair share of achievements to its name. Since its inception in October 2020, the team has won the COD Mobile India Cup Open and the Qualcomm Snapdragon Esports Challenge. Despite this, they failed to win a spot to participate in the COD Mobile World Championship 2021. They finished 5th in the South Asia and the Middle East qualifiers. Following the outcome, GodL’s star player Minho left for Revenant Esports (RNT), which dealt another blow to the team, and ultimately they were disbanded.

Possible reasons for the disbanding

Though no formal statement has been given for the reason behind the release of what is one of the best lineups of the said game, it might be so to make more room for the GodLike BGMI roster. The roster, which was earlier associated with global giants TSM, was picked up by GodLike a few months earlier. Arguably the best squad of India, they surely have hefty demands to be met by the organization among other things.

Also, it has been mentioned that a new boot camp of GodLike is under construction which will supposedly be the best of its kind in the region. Thus, it won’t be a huge surprise if the reason behind the release is financial to build a better organization. Once these are solved, we might just get to see another CODM lineup. However, it should be noted that these are just assumptions and are in no way official statements or a concrete reason.

Though there had been no further hints for the announcement of a new roster, Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude, ex-PUBGM pro, and owner of GodLike Esports has said that a big announcement is due to be revealed which might reveal the future plans of the organization.

GodLike acquires the COD Mobile roster of Team Insidious (IND)

Following the release of this lineup, GodLike has been quick to recruit the best possible lineup to replace the old lineup. The COD MObile lineup of Team Insidious (IND) consisting of Learn, Vegaz, Neutrino, Broszxs, TrunKs, and BurnZ has been released following an official announcement from Team IND stating the same. GodLike Esports have been quick to respond and has acquired the now ex-IND lineup which is undoubtedly the best roster in India as of now.

The players while playing for IND have managed to win the Codashop Global Series: India, Pandemic Tournament Season 1 and Season 2, IGL Cup, and QSEC Grand Final Championship. So far their highest honor lies in winning the CODM World Championship 2021: SA and MENA Finals by winning 12 matches on a streak and securing their tickets to the final stage of the tournament.

Also, it’s notable that Learn, the IGL of the now-disbanded roster of IND is widely considered as the best IGL of COD Mobile in India and also one of the best players. His nomination into the list of the best Esports Mobile Players 2021 is a further testament to the claim.

Final Thoughts

GodLike after disbanding their previous roster has acquired what is known as the best roster in the COD Mobile esports scene in India which is without a doubt a great investment. It should also be mentioned that in the last two months GodLike has also acquired arguably the best BGMI lineup in India currently who were part of TSM in the past, and also acquired the Free Fire roster of Team Blind, which is once again a top tier team. Therefore with all these acquisitions, GodLike is set to become the new dominating organization in India in the BGMI, Free Fire, and COD Mobile esports, all of which are highly marketable and popular.
