FunPlus is now celebrating the 1st year anniversary of their beloved strategy title, DC: Dark Legion, with a special in-game event based on the iconic Dark Nights: Death Metal storyline. Running from March 14 to to March 27, the anniversary celebration brings Batman Death Metal, three-phase anniversary event, rewards, and more.

The anniversary introduces Batman Death Metal and a new multiversal threat to the storyline

So, Batman Death Metal is finally getting introduced into the story, soon arriving from a fractured timeline to warn Wonder Woman Death Metal and the Justice League about a looming danger across the multiverse. While it was believed that Wonder Woman’s earlier victory over The Batman Who Laughs restored the timeline, that wasn’t the case.

The worst case is The Batman Who Laughs is now trying to interfere with this timeline to stop his own defeat from happening. So, with The Merciless leading an invasion force that is arriving soon, this anniversary celebration unfolds through a three-phase event.

Collect materials and trade with others in the Planning Committee phase

So, the first phase is called the Planning Committee and it is all about preparation. During this, you can collect different types of materials by completing daily activities, and you gather all types, you can exchange three of them to earn rewards and milestone points.

Well, the milestone points basically lets you save resources during this phase. Moreover, there is also a trading option, where you can swap extra materials with others, helping each other complete the collection.

Battlefront Gotham brings monster battles and Batarang attacks

The second phase, Battlefront Gotham, lets you use Batarangs to attack monsters across the map, earning small rewards with every hit and even bigger rewards when you defeat them. Once you defeat 5 normal monsters, elite monster appear, letting you earn better rewards by defeating them. The best part is you can obtain Batarangs for free via daily activities or you can purchase them.

Carnival of Heroes wraps up the event with a fun mini game

And the final phase, Carnival of Heroes, introduces a music-based mini-game. Here, you can select one of nine musical notes and then match them on a grid to create chords, which then extend the round. However, the round will end if you the chances to generate notes or chords finishes but you earn rewards for how many items you collect.

Well, to help you progress smoothly, you can create chords by matching identical notes or aligning them in rows, while special Lucky Notes can also appear to help you generate chords. I’m personally excited to experience this one and also collect all the rewards.

Besides this, you can look forward to world map expansion, league territories, expanded world map interactions, solo convoy missions, an advanced competitive mode, and a recruitment drive following the anniversary celebrations.
