Fortnite x Akira: New leaks suggest possible collaboration coming in Chapter 4 Season 2

Fortnite is an action-packed battle royale game from Epic Games. Players need to fight against each other with around 100 players and survive till the end to become the winner. It is also one of the games which have been popular all over the world for the past few years. One of the key reasons for its popularity is the numerous collaborations it does with other popular franchises. This keeps the game interesting for its players. New Fortnite leaks from trusted leakers suggest that a collaboration with the famous 90s anime show Akira might be in the works.

Epic Games employees further supported the leak about the collaboration

One of the most trustworthy leakers of Fortnite named HYPEX claimed on Twitter that the new season of Fortnite might feature another collaboration. They haven’t teased much but have given a small hint in their teaser video. The video’s 52-second mark has a specific shot that looks exactly like the iconic shot from the popular anime.

The shot shows a character riding a bike in the futuristic Mega City and it performs the same pose as the protagonist in the movie. Even the Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games named Donald Mustard has backed up this claim and has said that there’s a high chance that HYPEX is indeed correct.

Akira is a classic anime movie that made Japanese animation famous worldwide

Akira is a futuristic Japanese anime made way back in the 90s and it gained worldwide recognition and made the Japanese style of animation which is so popular in present times make a global mark. The scene claimed to be similar to the teaser trailer is one of the most iconic scenes from the movie and though the chances seem bleak, the claim is backed by an Epic Games official does give some hope.
