Fortnite has a long history of collaborations with numerous franchises throughout every season that occurs. The game is known to partner with various Disney properties and those turn out to be quite successful. One such example is the ongoing Find the Force event which is termed as the biggest Star Wars crossover in Fortnite yet. Now new leaks from a trusted source have most likely revealed the first-ever collaboration in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 and it is none other than Spider-Man himself.
Fortnite x Spider-Man collaboration is likely to be related to the new Spiderverse movie
Popular Fortnite data miner named HYPEX has revealed that a collaboration with Spider-Man is in the works for Chapter 4 Season 3. The collaboration is most likely to involve Miles Morales, who is one of the most popular and strongest variants of Spider-Man from the Spiderverse.
This partnership might be connected with the launch of the new Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse movie which is going to launch just a week before the launch of the new season which is apparently on June 9, 2023.
The leak also suggests that the crossover will include a mythic weapon, two pickaxes, an emote, two backings, and two skins codenamed Hero & Menace Universal. Now everyone is speculating that the Hero version of the skin might be Miles as he is the main character of the Spiderverse movies while the Menace version might be Spider-Man 2099 who even though is a hero too, appears to have some kind of conflict with Miles in the trailer.
Data miner ShiinaBR has posted on Twitter that a Miles Morales collaboration might arrive in Fortnite at any point between May 18 and June 8, which is significant given that the new Miles movie will begin playing in theatres on June 2. The quests and crossover would probably begin then, right before the start of Fortnite’s upcoming season.
The amount of time between the conclusion of this event and the beginning of the next chapter makes it unlikely that this crossover will be as significant as the present Star Wars event, while its size is still unknown. In addition to the mythical Web-Shooters returning, there would probably be an usual event that introduces a new skin. Spider-Gwen might perhaps be spotted wandering the island.
Chapter 4 Season 3 of Fortnite was first set to release on June 2, 2023, but the date was later on postponed to June 9, 2023. The cause of the delay was not really clear beforehand but now it might be because the new Spider-Man movie is also releasing on June 2, 2023, and the makers might have postponed the release of the new season to avoid date clashes though nothing is confirmed officially yet.
