Fortnite never shies away from big collaborations. Epic Games has made the battle royale more famous amongst players by collaborating with other big franchises and thus gaining traction in the form of various franchises. Now Fortnite is again ready to collab with another loved franchise and it is none other than Terminator. As of now, not much has been revealed about the collaboration but just that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous 101/T-800 character will be a part of Fortnite and fans are thrilled about it.
Dataminers had leaked Arnold’s skin before Epic Game’s official announcement
The news of a possible Fortnite and Terminator collaboration was revealed on Twitter by popular Fortnite data miners such as ShiinaBR. They provided a leaked image of the new skin and it didn’t take too long for the official makers of the game to confirm the claim on Twitter. The Tweet shows a battle-worn Terminator which is one of the most iconic roles of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The announcement of this addition comes shortly after the news of a new crossover between Fortnite and Futurama which will bring characters such as Fry, Leela, and Bender into the game. Many cosmetic items and weapons have been added into the game store which are Futurama themed along with Bender’s Shiny Metal Raygun which could’ve been hinting at the Fortnite and Terminator collaboration in the future.
This is not the first time Fortnite has collaborated with Terminator
The first time when Fortnite made a collab with the Terminator franchise was back in early 2021. The crossover brought the likes of T-800 which is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator Skin and Sarah Connor into the game.
The trailer for the collaboration showed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character being saved by Jonesy in the final scenes of Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the new addition of the Terminator skin could be a good way to extend the plot of that story but it could also just be a random cosmetic item which is a part of the collaboration.
