Free Fire developers have created an Advance server where they can test their upcoming updates mainly major OB updates. Garena has their Advanced Server update every 2 months. These updates consist of one or two collaborations, a major event, and two new characters. New Characters in Free Fire OB29 Advance Server update
Developers have always tried to invent better and balanced characters. There will be two characters planned for the Free Fire OB 29 Advance Server update.
Thiva
As planned by Garena, Thiva is a character that has been developed by combining DJ Alok and Olivia. Thiva will have skills as following. It states that within a radius (X) meters, Allies can recover HP for (Y) seconds and fallen allies can save themselves (Self-revival). This character will be beneficial for the Full map as well as the Clash squad, as teammates can heal and revive themselves within a certain radius.
Dimitri Vegas
Developers are creating more servers for reducing in-game lag. With the introduction of every server, Garena is trying to collaborate with at least one superstar from each region. For example, after the introduction of DJ Alok, K, Jai etc. it is now the turn of the newest collaboration of Free Fire with Dimitri Vegas. He is the one who had composed the Rampage Theme. Additionally, he will compose the theme music of Free Fire OB29. He has the ability of an increased extraction speed is increased by (X) % and (Y) HP is restored within (Z) seconds of being pulled.

Free Fire OB29 Advance Server: Dates
The Advance Server will be available for a single time which will be 27th July, 2021 to 6th August, 2021. The OB29 update will be out on 8th August, 2021 respectively. The update will include more detailed information about the changes like minor optimization. There could be some old character skill changes, for example, Moco.
How to register
Players need to go to the Garena website through this link. After going to Garena official website, players will be able to see a ‘Login by Facebook‘ button. This means that players who can register for the Advance Server are the Facebook users. Player who login their account using Google, VK, Twitter or Guest can’t login, as per Garena’s policy. After logging in, players can see the Download APK option on the 27th July, 2021. After downloading and installing APK, players will receive the Activation code via Mail or Notification but there is a catch. There are only few slots for normal/average players. This is because most of the slots are reserved for Partner Program YouTubers and Garena workers. After using the activation code, players can easily access the Advance Server.
Final Thoughts
The updates in the game are good/great as players are able to heal/upgrade their server. This would heavily reduce server lag. From the perspective of players, the update will slowly make the game heavier and less accessible for a low RAM user. In Free Fire OB28 Advance Server, players who a device of a RAM of 2-4 GB could feel their phone lagging, even on smooth graphic settings. Developers should also focus on making game usable for low-end devices too.
