After opening pre-registration earlier this year in January, Genesis War has now officially entered its pre-release phase on mobile. The tactical RPG has soft-launched on both Android and iOS platforms, with players from select regions now able to access Genesis War ahead of its global launch.
Genesis War brings terrain mechanics into play, with positioning and elemental advantages
Developed by LINE Games, Genesis War is bringing back the war-torn world of Antaria, which we first saw in The War of Genesis. The story follows Princess Iyolin and her allies as they try to reclaim their fallen kingdom while uncovering a deeper truth behind the ongoing war.
Since the title is a turn-based tactical RPG, battles rely on positioning, terrain mechanics, and elemental advantages. As explained, you will drag and drop your character, check your stats, and click start to begin the battle, with tile mechanics also in the picture, from what I noticed.
You’ll be able to collect a wide roster of heroes and build your own squad with strong synergies. Alongside the main story, there’s a good amount of content too, including boss raids, PvP modes, and exploration to high-difficulty stages.
If you like the genre and want to experience it, now is the time. However, given that the game is currently in soft launch, only players from Canada, Australia, and Indonesia can access Genesis War on their mobile devices.
So if you are from the region, head to the Google Play Store on Android and App Store on iOS to download the game. As for the global release details, it is scheduled to be launched sometime during the second quarter of 2026, with the date not confirmed yet.
