Genshin Impact has recently been given multiple awards, on both Google Play and App Store Best Game Awards, in the mobile games awarding ceremonies for 2020. On such a commendable occasion, the developers at Mihoyo have decided to give players a reward to celebrate with them. Genshin Impact will be issuing 800 Primogems for free to all players who log in from Dec 3rd to Dec 6th. This announcement comes on the heels of the release of Zhongli, the newest 5 Star character to join the Genshin Impact roster. Hopefully, when you get these Primogems you will then have enough to summon on the new banner and hopefully get a 5 Star or something else you may have wanted! Here’s the official tweet:
Genshin Impact’s effect on the scene
Genshin Impact has exploded onto the scene since it’s release on the 28th of September. Ever since then, they have made record-breaking profits. The game has now reached the spot of #2 Grossing Game worldwide and at the rate they’re moving, they could even overcome to get close to overcoming their rival in Honor of Kings.
It would be nice if with these extreme profits Genshin could try to be a little more like another company that’s very known for giving a lot back to the community that helped make their games so popular; Cygames. Although Genshin Impact is showing good early signs by hosting giveaways such as giving 800 free Primogems.
miHoyo’s Time to Shine
Regardless of whether Genshin manages to become a top-grossing game by the end of the year, they will still be in the position to be the top game next year. Genshin’s masterclass character designs, animations, and storytelling have allowed the game to skyrocket to the forefront of mobile gaming. The developers at miHoyo had found success with their previous game of Honkai Impact, but it was never to the levels we’re seeing here.
The expansive world that players can explore with friends has really been able to be a beacon for people stuck at home during Quarantine. Regardless of your preference, it’s hard to imagine Genshin isn’t deserving of all its accolades, and in return, the players are going to receive tokens of appreciation from time to time.
