Genshin Impact Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises Version 3.2 Phase II: Character and Weapon Banners

An overview of upcoming banners in Version 3.2 Phase II

Phase II banners of Genshin Impact version 3.2 will go live on 18th November 2022 at 18:00 (UTC+8). The banners will be available till 14:59 (UTC+8) on 6th December 2022. Version 3.2 Phase II banners will feature one new 4* character.

This is the first rerun of “Astute Amusement” Yae Miko (electro/catalyst) since her release in version 2.5. Despite being one of the most anticipated characters after Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko’s initial release was somewhat disappointing to many players. However, with the release of Dendro as a playable element, and the Dendro Archon Nahida, things have changed a lot in Yae’s favor. Thus, there has never been a better time to pull for the fox spirit lady.

Yae Miko will be accompanied by “Fantastical Evening Star” Layla (cryo/sword), “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), and “Analytical Harmony” Shikanoin Heizou (anemo/catalyst), all of whom will receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Among these three, Thoma and Heizou are already permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates. After this banner ends, Layla will also be available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation.

This is the third rerun of “Childe” Tartaglia (hydro/bow). He was first released all the way back in version 1.1. He was one of the first characters to receive multiple reruns within a short period of time. Since it has been more than a year since the last time he had a rate-up banner, he was rightly due for a rerun.

Tartaglia has always been a very polarizing character for many players. He is an unusual main DPS character who performs best when played with a strict rotation in a team created around him. His unique abilities make him slightly difficult to play for the average player but learning how his skills work makes him a very satisfying to play the character.

Tartaglia will be accompanied by “Fantastical Evening Star” Layla (cryo/sword), “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), and “Analytical Harmony” Shikanoin Heizou (anemo/catalyst), all of whom will receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Among these three, Thoma and Heizou are already permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates. After this banner ends, Layla will also be available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation.

The weapon banners feature the reruns of Yae Miko and Tartaglia’s signature best-in-slot weapons, Kagura’s Verity (catalyst), and Polar Star (bow) respectively. This banner features the 4* weapons “Favonius Sword” (sword), “The Bell” (claymore), “Dragon’s Bane” (polearm), “Favonius Codex” (catalyst), and “The Stringless” (bow). It does not debut any new 4* weapons. All of them will receive a huge drop rate boost.

Final Thoughts

Both Tartaglia and Yae Miko are really valuable pulls as of version 3.2. Tartaglia has always been amazing, and he is finding new synergies with Dendro characters like Nahida. Yae Miko has also received an indirect buff with the release of Nahida. She now has access to new, more powerful team comps involving Dendro.

However, even though both rerun characters are amazing, it is understandable if players choose to skip both of them in favor of the release of Scaramouche (anemo/catalyst) who will be available in version 3.3. Scaramouche is one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin and he will bring new playstyles into the mix.

Kagura’s Verity is an amazing catalyst for the main DPS characters. While it is the signature best-in-slot for Yae Miko, it can be used by several other characters like Nahida, Klee, and Heizou. Polar Star is another great weapon for main DPS characters. It can be used by Tartaglia, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Fischl, and even a Venti with a crit-focused build.

Among the drop rate boosted 4* weapons on the weapon banner, Favonius Sword is a really amazing weapon for just about any support character. It very easily takes care of ER needs all the while lowering ER needs for the entire team by generating white particles. The Stringless is an amazing bow for Fischl and Venti. Favonius Codex can be equipped by characters who are struggling to meet their ER needs, like Mona, but it is not the most optimal choice.

Dragon’s Bane could be utilized by Hu Tao or Xiangling, as long as their other stat requirements have been fulfilled. The Bell, on the other hand, is one of the most useless weapons ever. All in all, Genshin Impact version 3.2 phase II banners are pretty balanced in terms of pull value. Players should pull based on their wants and needs since there is no must-pull item this time.
