Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control to shut down on August 26, 2026, ending its shooter journey before a global release

It is preparing for an unexpectedly early farewell!

Story Highlights
  • Girls' Frontline: Fire Control is a 3D tactical shooter that combines squad-building strategy with fast-paced 5v5 combat.
  • The game will officially shut down on August 26, 2026, just six months after its launch and before any global release.
  • You can continue playing, claim 2,000 Free Diamonds every Wednesday, and enjoy compensation rewards until EOS.

Sunborn Network has announced the shutdown of its new 3D third-person shooter, Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control, set for August 26, 2026. Developed by Hecate Team, the game was initially introduced as Project NET in December 2024, opened global pre-registration in September 2025, and finally released on Android in November 2025 and iOS this January in SEA.

Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control is ending services just months after its exclusive SEA launch

So, Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control is a casual 3D TPS based on the renowned Girls’ Frontline series that blends high-intensity shooting gameplay with deep team-building strategy. Here, you can command characters inspired by various firearm models as you engage in 5v5 strategic combat and adapt to diverse enemy types. It even includes an intuitive auto-aim system to help you progress smoothly as a beginner.

Unfortunately, the FIRE CONTROL Operations Team has announced via X (Twitter) that the game will shut down on August 26, 2026, stating, “After a comprehensive evaluation of our operation plans, we regret to inform you that Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control will officially terminate operations.” And the team has also apologised “for any inconvenience caused by the shutdown.”

You can still enjoy the game and claim compensation rewards before EOS

You can still download the game until July 24, after which downloads, new account registrations, and in-game purchases will be disabled. So, do enjoy the final moments and enjoy the compensation rewards that the game is distributing now until the EOS date. You’ll get 2,000 Free Diamonds every Wednesday, and the team will reveal more details about the compensation plan for remaining paid diamonds and related account rights later.

Now, it’s honestly disappointing to see a title tied to such a major IP shut down after only six months of service, especially before getting a global release. However, many fans don’t seem that surprised, with some criticizing, “You literally didn’t have to play/aim,” and others saying, “The game is actually bad, and it is not like CODM/Valorant game or such.”
