Wales Interactive, known for Ten Dates, and more has announced their new interactive psychological horror adventure, Heart of the Forest, set to launch on mobile, and PC, and Console on February 12. Developed by Trapped Predator, this indie game is inspired by tales from Germany’s Black Forest.
Get ready to shape the story though multiple POVs and protect the students
I’m not the bravest guy out there, but when a psychological horror title like Heart of the Forest shows up, I can’t really miss it. Here, the story follows a mismatched group of students who fall under the spell of a vengeful spirit during a hiking trip across the Black Forest, and their survival depends entirey on the choices you make.
Gameplay wise, you’ll guide the protagonists through the horrific journey as the forest forces them to confront their deepest fears and unresolved pasts with different events unfolding. Besides keeping them alive, don’t tempt to the corruption and give into the forest’s dark powers.
But, what I liked the most is how the story switches between multiple characters, letting us experience and shape it through different POVs. Overall, the game looks absolutely promising with its over the top production, real actors, German folklore inspired story, and more, and I hope it lives up to its what’s being promised.
Heart of the Forest is launching on mobile, PC, and Console on February 12, 2026. So, you can now pre-register for the game via the respective Google Play Store or App Store.
