Square Enix’s Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, which is the sequel to the original Hitman Sniper game, is set to release globally on the 3rd of March, 2022. The game is open for pre-registration right now. Earlier known as Hitman Sniper Assassins, it was rebranded to Hitman Sniper: The Shadows at the E3 2021. The announcement was made in March 2021, where it saw the game later hit Brazil and other selected regions.
In this new game, players get to play as multiple assassins from a highly-skilled unit called “The Shadows” in the absence of Agent 47, who’s missing in action.
Prove your worth as a true Hitman Sniper
Players must eliminate a series of high-value targets in order to fill Agent 47’s shoes. The gameplay actually seems to be really similar to that of Hitman Sniper where the objective is to take out high-level targets and other hostiles without getting detected.
The previous game’s repetitiveness with the same map was one of its biggest faults though so hopefully Square Enix had worked on a better experience with more variety. However, different maps could be seen in the beta test.
That being said, all players excited for Hitman Sniper: The Shadows release should definitely head over to the game’s Play Store or App Store page and pre-register/ pre-order the title in order to get some rewards upon the game’s launch. The game will be a free-to-play title with IAPs.
