After the immense success of Genshin Impact, the fastest game on both the Google Play and Apple App Store to cross the 1 billion dollar mark, miHoYo is now aggressively testing its new game, Honkai: Star Rail. The first closed beta tests happened during early October in 2021 with a limited number of trailblazers. And today, miHoYo officially announced the launch of the Galaxy Explorer program, a long-term beta tester recruitment program for Honkai Star Rail.
The announcement for the same was made on the official Twitter account, with links to sign up for the program.
Honkai: Star Rail, is set in the same universe as Honkai Impact 3D, on August 23, 2021, miHoYo officially trademarked the name. The official announcement of the name was made on September 21, 2021.
Honkai: Star Rail is a tactical open-world RPG game, with a flashy combat mechanism and a beautifully crafted Anime world environment. Players can explore the universe without limitations, make strategies to fight battles with characters that have special abilities and attacks. The game is set in a universe that almost matches Honkai Impact 3D with narrow streets and high-rise buildings, but the game has new characters and some old characters from the Honkai series.
How to become a beta tester in the Honkai: Star Rail Galaxy Explorer program
The Galaxy Explorer program is entirely different from the close beta test program. Users will be chosen for the Galaxy Explorer program based on the objectives that are set for different versions, this means that players will be selected in small groups to test subsequent versions of the game confidentially.
But, since the Galaxy Explorer program is based on long-term beta tester recruitment, the registration for the program has no end date, but those who wish to take part in the next small-scale confidential beta test will have to sign up before 10 am UTC+8, 14 March 2022. miHoYo will make new announcements if there will be an end date for the registration.
Given that the game is still in a developmental phase, players participating in the beta tests are required not to leak any content of the game including videos, screenshots, or live streaming of the game. If any user is found doing so, their participation will be canceled and legal action will be pursued according to the content of the Testing Service Agreement.
Users can sign up for the Galaxy Explorer program by clicking on the link on the official website. Users will then have to log in to their miHoYo account and read the instructions to continue, a survey form will ask users a set of basic questions like age, device, email, phone number, previous experience with miHoYo’s creations, etc.
Selected trailblazers will receive the installation package through the email they have mentioned in the survey form.
