Honkai: Star Rail hints Honkai Impact 3rd Easter Egg

Himeko is back on Honkai Star Rail!

When hearing the name of the two games, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd, players can’t help to wonder about the connection between the two games aside from having similar creators. Easter eggs about the new HoYoverse game have been found and some are related to its sister game Honkai Impact 3rd. Some characters from the latter game can also be found in the newly-released game. In this article, we will talk about the Easter Egg in Honkai Star Rail about Honkai Impact 3rd.

Honkai Impact 3rd Animation: Final Lesson

The Final Lesson is a significant event in Honkai Impact 3rd, marking a pivotal moment in the game’s storyline. This epic climax challenges players to confront powerful enemies and face the ultimate test of their skills and strategies.

As the culmination of the game’s narrative, The Final Lesson immerses players in intense battles, emotional storytelling, and breathtaking visuals. It pushes the boundaries of the game’s world and characters, leaving players on the edge of their seats as they strive to overcome the final obstacles and witness the thrilling conclusion of Honkai Impact 3rd.

An easter egg about the weapon wielded by Himeko can be found in Honkai Star Rail inside Herta Space Station’s Storage Zone, specifically in the northeastern room. In the Honkai Impact 3rd animation “Final Lesson,” there is a significant reference to Himeko, the Valkyrie who sacrificed herself in the battle. It is symbolized by her broken sword, serving as a reminder of her valiant efforts and tragic fate.

The description when investigating the easter egg is: “A few crimson fragments float in the air. Drawn by an invisible force, they trace the shape of a broken blade. The rusted surface looks like a barren field scorched by flames as it narrates its past.

Final Lesson summary

In Honkai Impact 3rd, Valkyries acquire Honkai cells to gain superpowers and combat the invading aliens known as Honkai. However, prolonged usage of these cells is toxic and progressively damages the body. Himeko, a mentor figure, has served as a Valkyrie for a considerable time and is due for “retirement.”

Retirement involves taking a serum to remove the Honkai cells, saving her life but stripping her of her fighting abilities. Meanwhile, Kiana, Himeko’s student and the game’s protagonist, is controlled by the powerful strain of Honkai cells named Sirin, causing havoc alongside a dragon minion.

In a selfless act to save Kiana, Himeko abandons her retirement plan and wears a prototype suit that amplifies her Honkai cells, accelerating her demise. During a critical mission, Himeko sacrifices herself by injecting Kiana with her retirement serum, aiming to free her from Sirin’s control. Sadly, Himeko perishes at the moment she was meant to be liberated from a life of fighting and impending death.

Himeko in Honkai Star Rail

Himeko became a 5-star playable character with the same Fire-type element under the Path of Erudition. It is said that Honkai Star Rail has a different world from Honkai Impact 3rd. Himeko in Honkai Star Rail is an alternate version of Murata Himeko from Honkai Impact 3rd.
