Tencent Games has revealed a brand new gameplay video trailer of the awaited Honor of Kings: World. The game, based on the Honor of Kings IP, was first announced in November 2021, Honor of Kings: World will be an open-world RPG, where you will get the chance to freely explore the beautiful game world while taking the challenge on powerful world bosses, and engage in various adventures.

The gameplay video shared for Honor of Kings: World showcases truly stunning visuals that leave a visually striking impression. The graphics bear a resemblance to the popular Genshin Impact style, but the detailing I felt was far better. Notice the hair strands of the characters being so articulate and natural in motion? That would be something for our mobile devices to handle.
This level of visual quality is undeniably impressive, and with the elements such as clothing and environment giving a great feel of Asian influence that’s hard to miss, there’s little doubt it will find success, especially in the same gaming market, where Honor of Kings already enjoys great popularity. A similar style earlier mentioned suggests a potential gacha element in the game, but the makers haven’t confirmed yet.
Adding to the discussion during the first gameplay trailer was released, the open-world setting seems to be interactive as well. When it comes to combat, it looks like the game will offer a third-person view. What’s exciting is that there might be camera adjustments available during battles, like pinching in and out or panning around, allowing you to get a better view and target your opponents, especially those tricky bosses.
While specific control details or mapping aren’t shared in the Honor of Kings: World gameplay trailer, it looks like the game will employ hack-and-slash mechanics with a good number of melee weapons, commonly in other ARPGs, however with a possibility where upon release, my speculations might not hold true.

Yeah, coming to the favorite section, there are some questions that don’t have an answer yet and this is among them. While nothing is revealed as of now, it is expected that Honor of Kings: World will be a China-first title and it may go global in the future.
We’re definitely looking at a mobile release, but if they want to take the Genshin Impact route, we might be in for a treat with PC and console versions, too.
